This game is an enigma. As an RPG it's... pretty damn good actually. For as long as it is though, I would've liked to see more story - as the way it is is a fairly basic story of revenge. In fairness to the dev though, the rather hollow narrative element DOES kind of make sense from a narrative standpoint, ironically. Basically being grunts in a military organization, you get orders, you execute them - it isn't really your place to be told the hows or whys. The balance is a little off too, you have access to the top tier equipment form the beginning of the game, and it doesn't take much grinding to get your party to the point of being equipped with the best gear in the game. Unfortunately there is no NG+ to try out different class options - now you CAN change class (almost) at will, but they all seem to get the job done, so it's easy to get invested in what you initially went with and refine your play with that as opposed to trying to learn a new skill set - so I never saw much reason to change mine. The UI, SFX, BGM, etc are all good, though not particularly remarkable. Surprisingly, the H is where the game falls apart the most. Most of the CGs look as though they have been stre…1 found this helpful

I really want to like this game, but I just cant. Crashes, bugs, general performance issues. The u.i is poor to the point buff and debuff icons are off screen. The enemy balance is all over the place. You will either be too weak to the point fights are a coin flip, or so over powered nothing is a threat with very little in between. There are stock rpg maker assets everywhere, and unlike something like the Dungeon Dreams games that have a similar issue, the writing, combat, and enemy design is not nearly strong enough to compensate. Speaking of writing, the character writing is awful. Im struggling to express why it feels so bad without going over every line of dialog I saw, but to sum it up there is frequent tonal whiplash, and characters often don't speak like actual people, and they all suck at dirty talk. I completed the sexual quests for all 3 boys, and honestly came out liking each one less, which sucks cause I went in really liking Haku. He has a solid character introduction (to the point he was the only person I liked up until I did his quest), and his back is genuinely interesting, but the filler dialog, and how rushed everything felt just kills any emotional weight ever…
Euclyca is an expansive indie JRPG that blends traditional role-playing systems with mature narrative themes, resulting in a game that feels both familiar and distinctly personal. Developed and published by Team Syukino, it presents itself as a classic fantasy adventure on the surface, complete with turn-based combat, character growth, and a steadily unfolding storyline. However, as players spend more time in its world, it becomes clear that Euclyca is driven less by genre conventions and more by a desire to explore character relationships, moral ambiguity, and player agency within a long-form RPG framework. The game’s narrative is structured across multiple story arcs that gradually expand both the scope of the world and the emotional stakes of the plot. Rather than relying solely on a single overarching conflict, Euclyca introduces political tensions, invasions, and personal struggles that intersect as the story progresses. These arcs are paced to encourage exploration and side content, often rewarding players who take the time to engage with optional quests and character-specific events. While the main plot leans on familiar fantasy elements such as magic, warfare, and ancient …
This game is, simply put, a confusing mess. Combat is a weird combination of turn-based/ bullet hell in the sense that enemies can and will attack while you’re deciding what action to choose. There are some random enemies scattered throughout the have stats 100x stronger than the player and just DONT take damage. Not even bosses mind you. You can walk through a seemingly generic forest and all of a sudden BAM, a gorilla duel-wielding assault rifles is there with a HP bar of 4 million. Which would be funny, if the Escape button actually worked and you had a way to LEAVE an unwinable combat encounter. But no, you have to sit there and watch your character die and pray you saved less than 15 minutes ago, or else your screwed.
I haven't had the time to play as much as I'd like, but it's fun! I feel like the game play is easy to pick up, but mastering it can be a challenge, which is a good thing. The overall aesthetic is very nice, and I like the story, too.
