Horizon Walker

I'd prefer to give this game a neutral review. The game is a typical gacha game with strategy RPG elements. You move around a field in battle, using up action points, then attack with whatever action points you have left. There's no cover system, so it isn't quite like XCOM, not that there's a need for it, considering most attacks are melee/etc. The game requires you to do more of its content to level up your "Human God," which is you the player, to get your units (vanguards) to higher levels. Your units can never be higher level than you. Currently, there is a "Starter" banner of sorts that allows you to keep refreshing it 100 times a day until you get the desired units you want, then you can finalize that pull to get them. This isn't "100 pulls," it's 100 refreshes of a single pull. The pull system is pretty much the same as other gacha games, and even has a "flip" system where lower tier characters can end up being a higher tier one on the pull. The game is running in an android emulator, so if you login to google with this game, google will send you an e-mail stating you should "Continue setting up your device." Genuinely enjoying my time with Horizon Walker. Its the first gacha game I've played. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about without it trying to grab my wallet every 10 seconds. Thankfully, Horizon Walker is really F2P friendly and I'm honestly impressed with how much progress you can make without spending any money. There was a character I really wanted to get and she was disappearing from the "Easier to get" category so I spent like £3 to get her. Wish I got the weapon too now, but thems the breaks. Otherwise, the game showers you in resources, characters and progression items. Combat is fun and with a good party composition, you'll have a great time. I didn't realise until 25 hours in that there was an Auto Battle system for fights you'd steamroll. So if I didn't have any complaints by this point, I probably wouldn't. I do like the characters and their back stories too. The main story is servicable with some actual decent twists at certain points.
