About Eufloria Classic
Before Eufloria HD (2014), there was Eufloria (2009). The long-unlisted indie classic is available once again for the 15 year anniversary. Updated to run on modern systems, with new content, features, and expanded moddability.
Old school intergalactic floral warfare is BACK! (Warts and all!)
Eufloria Classic is a re-release of the original version of Eufloria (2009), with some modern quality of life changes, and not a new Eufloria game nor a sequel to Eufloria HD (2014). It is a “warts and all” anniversary release, with only non-disruptive changes or objective improvements made. Anything that affects the “feel” of the original Eufloria has remained unchanged.
While Eufloria HD boasts a number of improvements lacking in Eufloria Classic, we are offering a number of things not available elsewhere:
Eufloria Classic is free to all owners of Eufloria (2009), simply update and launch that version in your Steam library to see a new option to play Eufloria Classic. It is also heavily discounted for owners of Eufloria HD (2014) via the Steam bundle linked above.
Eufloria (2009) is from a bygone age of small monitors, and as such does not always play nicely with high resolution displays (1440p/4K). The game will still run at high resolutions, but your mileage may vary on visual scaling. If you have a 1440p or higher display, we recommend downloading the demo first to make sure the game displays correctly for you.
If you do encounter issues, there might still be workarounds. These are listed and kept up to date on our Steam forums.
Conquer asteroids in space and use their resources to grow floral creatures that do the player's bidding. Expand your empire and fight for resources against several teams of opponents that all vie for the same resources and can offer fierce opposition.
Presented in a unique and gorgeous floral aesthetic, the game can be played competitively or in a relaxed, ambient style. You choose how to play.
Along a 25 level campaign mode, a host of additional modes offer procedural levels that offer endless replayability. Add to that a vast number of mods and user levels plus an active mod community and you will not soon run out of challenges.

Is this for me?
While Eufloria HD boasts a number of improvements lacking in Eufloria Classic, we are offering a number of things not available elsewhere:
- It is the only release that supports mods and custom levels, and is backward compatible with all previously released mods that work with the original game.
- We included two entirely new game modes, with two sample levels per mode. We plan to release more together with the modding community.
- Entirely new music from the original composer for the game, Milieu.
- Finally; for some people the original version is the preferred version, despite its limitations, and this allows them to play it once again, pretty much exactly how they remembered it.

A nice chill game to relax and unwind with. Simple gameplay and minimal mechanics means I can turn my brain off while I play and let the music take me to a little plot of space where I can garden and just grow my little sprouts. Did I get a little frustrated at one point? Yes, but then I remembered that there is no timer and no rush. A great little game, highly recommend4 found this helpful
people say this game is relaxing. it's not completely relaxing as sometimes you have to act fast, sometimes you need to restart levels because your tactics didn't work. sometimes you need to speed it all up or slow it all down. but MAN this is a fun and brilliant game. The music is actually how I discovered this game, but its soundtrack is fantastic. nice community around this game and the devs seem like really really cool people too. All in all, highly recommended as a niche strategy game. lots of bang for your buck, replayability and fun. nice art style and overall a real gem of an indie game.2 found this helpful
It really is a classic. Unique but easy to learn gameplay and fantastic sound design.1 found this helpful
