Farming Camp is a peculiar kind of management sim where you follow a group of nine young adults (around 17 years old) attending a farming camp for four weeks, competing with each other to become the next top Evertree farmer. They are split into groups of three people, and you play as Alessandra, the leader of the Blueberry Jam team. Instead of giving you open-ended days powered by a standard stamina bar, the gameplay forces you to structure your activities around a set schedule, akin to how Persona games handle calendar days. Your workweek starts on Monday and ends on Friday, with each day split strictly into morning and afternoon slots. The weekends are reserved for special events: a competitive cook-off that takes the whole Saturday and handing in your weekly homework on Sundays. These require you to have gathered a certain amount of crops, fish, and other items during the week. As the leader of her group, Alessandra can assign chores to her two companions across each half of the day, with the restriction that their duties must be rotated daily, as they refuse to handle the same chore twice in a row. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=381429856…

I kind of wish I could pick a 'Maybe' rating for this game. You get about 5-6 hours of gameplay, but there isn't very much choice in how the game plays out and winning is pretty easy. There's not a lot of depth to the strange story or the characters which makes a lot of their choices all the more strange. I was excited for the game, but between the length and lack of challenge it didn't end up feeling very satisfying.

When this game released, clicking 'BUY' was an absolute no-brainer for me. The gorgeous art style and unique setting immediately grabbed my attention. I won't lie: I was pretty discouraged by the mixed reviews that followed shortly after release. In fact, I only booted the game up as early as I did to see if I needed to request a refund. I am so happy to say that is not the case. I was completely hooked from minute one. The characters are quirky, and the world is vibrant and delightfully interactive. Plus, for once, we have a farming sim where we don't inherit grandpa's old farm! It's doing things differently, and I absolutely love that. The team points and specialized teachers give the whole experience a delightfully 'Hogwarts with hoe in hand' energy. No bugs or annoyances on my end so far, just pure fun. Huge kudos to the developers! <3

I have some issues with this game, which boils down to being a bit of a hassle to play, somewhat buggy and overall not that fun. I bought the game on launch day, and I was hoping to see the devs make some updates to fix the issues within the first 14 days since launch. As of the writing of this review, today is the 14th day, no updates nor announcements of any kind post-launch day, game seemingly abandoned. With all that has happened, I've decided to refund the game.

Had to start all over because of a bug on the 21st day where if you go into the barn you get trapped and cannot continue. seen a post telling to save on the morning of the 21st but no solutions if it autosaved and you can't get back to that point. long story short don't buy this bug infested game
