What Steam players say

Fear of Neighbours is a very short VR experience that players criticize for its poor technical execution, including glitchy physics, clipping issues, and low-quality graphics that undermine the horror premise. While a few players found it mildly entertaining as a brief horror experience and noted it runs adequately on certain VR headsets, most felt the game was too unpolished and insubstantial to justify its existence on Steam, with gameplay lasting only minutes and marred by numerous bugs that break immersion rather than enhance fear.
"Fear of Neighbours" is a badly made, very short VR tech demo where you interact with a couple of objects... that's it. You can't get a lot of gaming in 5 minutes time, and it's unclear what the rationale was to dump this on Steam when it's so short and pointless. Also, the graphics are godawfully bad... if my neighbour looked like that I'd be terrified. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game.
