Fighter Royale - Last Ace Flying is an unusual aerial combat game that blends World War II fighter aircraft with the survival-driven structure of a battle royale. Developed and published by Fighter Base Publishing, Inc., it moves the genre away from soldiers fighting on the ground and instead places competitors inside historical warplanes over a large South Pacific-inspired battlefield. The objective is straightforward: stay alive, improve your combat capabilities, defeat opposing pilots, and ultimately become the last surviving ace. Matches are designed to accommodate as many as 100 pilots across a battlefield approximately 50 kilometers in size. Such a large environment initially gives players plenty of freedom to maneuver, select engagements, and potentially avoid unfavorable fights. That freedom gradually disappears because the playable area contracts as the match progresses. The shrinking battlefield is particularly effective for aerial combat, continuously pushing surviving aircraft toward one another until avoiding confrontation becomes increasingly difficult.
