Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders is a World War II aerial combat title developed and published by Atypical Games that successfully captures the excitement of historic air battles through an accessible yet engaging gameplay style. Rather than focusing on deep flight simulation, the game embraces a cinematic approach that allows players to jump into intense dogfights while still offering enough tactical depth to make every mission rewarding. Set across famous theaters of war including Pearl Harbor, Midway, the English Channel, Germany, and occupied Europe, the game recreates iconic conflicts with a strong emphasis on action, atmosphere, and large-scale military operations. The campaign delivers an impressive variety of mission types that help maintain momentum throughout the experience. Instead of limiting players to repetitive aerial duels, objectives frequently shift between escorting bombers, intercepting enemy squadrons, attacking naval fleets, protecting friendly installations, carrying out bombing operations, and eliminating strategic ground targets. Some scenarios introduce environmental hazards and unique challenges that require careful flying rather than simple firepower. This d…1 found this helpful
This is a really cool and addicting simcade style combat flight sim that mixes arcade style with realism. The only issue I have is that in the main menu, all the planes are blacked out and missing their color which I know is a technical glitch. Aside from that, In game the planes work fine and aren't blacked out as they have their normal color. I just hope this game gets updated and optimized for windows 11. It would be cool to see an update for this game1 found this helpful
It's not the most best way I would like to fly for a game. War Thunder as an example is better in one way especially. Keyboard control with mouse, and for me mouse must have wheel for throttle. Like on this game WT yaw, left and right with a and d, yaw is q and e can do yaw with mouse too, its the a and d with mouse to turn fast is what i prefer tho I never use w and s use to be throttle on WT its now ascendinding and descending., here its speed, but seriously not implemented correctly, is still fun once I got the hang of it, but seriously could and should (in my view) be improved upon, especially from the sense of actual 1st person view. ALl that turning is weird to me... for 5 being highest, I'm going to be neutral a bit more higher part of 3, 4 possibly 5 if controls were better.
Easy and so enjoyable play! I strongly recommend this game to everyone.
Flying Fun
i used to love this game. I've had a few laptops since then. I tried to install in my latest laptop but the game won\t play. i can't give a good rating for a game i can't play that i've already paid for.
