Firmament Wars is a multiplayer real-time strategy game where you clash for military domination of your foes in this fast-paced warfare simulator.
Duke it out in tile-based combat in multiple modes of play including Free-For-All, Team, and Head-to-Head Ranked play. Select from seven different governments, each of which offers different styles of gameplay! The game begins with players in their capital. Send forth troops to conquer territory with the ultimate goal of eliminating your opponents! Use a variety of tactics and technology to get an edge on your opponents—research technologies, build walls, fire cannons, launch missiles, and more!
Up to eight players can play simultaneously in a highly flexible game creation system that even allows computer opponents to join your team! Serious competitors can test their mettle in ranked head-to-head combat and climb the leaderboard!

No tutorial, claims to be just like risk but commands do not do what they are supposed to do. No matter what I tried to do all I kept getting was two different messages: "cannot build this here" and "you do not control this tile" or a buzzer sound when nothing happened. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME ON THIS JUNK!!!!!1 found this helpful

Full screen doesn't work. For some reason this game requires more resources and runs slower than modern 3D games. Other than that - it's an OK version of Risk.
Very simple and easy strategy game that is surprisingly addictive. I love strategy games, and one of FW's appeals is how quickly you can jump in to the game and accomplish a lot. This game is the kind of game I can play during a quick break from work and feel satisfied with my progress. Also can't complain about the price. Only wish there was a way to pause the game when playing offline, and also wish there were more single country maps as well.
