"Flain - Tao force & Cubes" is a much more intriguing title than the resultant game. It's a simple match-2 "memory" card game with one twist, instead of cards, you're looking at slowly rotating cubes, and the match symbol is only on one side. What an original spin on such a great game concept, not! The technical implementation here is lousy, with minimalist cubes as the only graphics you get, boring, and of course the developers couldn't even work out how to make the game display in full screen. Windowed only. Also, resolution is locked and can't be changed, so they really phoned this in. The game isn't "Free" as you must spend currency or watch advertisements to continue playing after just a couple of minutes, not that anyone in their right mind would want to. Advertising infested crapware is not something I can recommend to PC gamers.

Flain - Tao force & Cubes is an unconventional casual arcade experience built around matching cubes, maintaining a limited energy supply, and pursuing increasingly demanding high scores. Developed and published by zyfun, the game takes a familiar matching concept and surrounds it with unusual terminology, resource management, replay mechanics, and an intentionally strange science-fiction premise. What initially appears to be a straightforward emoji-themed game gradually reveals a more demanding structure in which quick recognition, careful resource use, memory, and endurance all contribute to success. Its setting is deliberately absurd. Humanity becomes involved in an interplanetary dispute concerning the use of emojis, eventually leading to the arrival of the inhabitants of Moogi star. Their journey does not go according to plan, and cubes containing emojis and compensation become scattered after an accident involving their spacecraft. This provides the justification for the player's cube-collecting activities. The narrative is not meant to deliver serious drama or extensive characterization, but it gives the game enough personality to distinguish its otherwise abstract matching …
