About FlowState
Simulator Philosophy
This simulator is a true FPV Drone Racing simulator. The goal is to make it look and feel as similar to a standard racing drone as possible. As such, the goal is not to make the most HD/GoPro-esque visuals. Instead the focus is on simulating what pilots see through the goggles, static and all! This sim is also open source! So if you would like to contribute find us on github. Here are some of the founding principles players' and contributors' consideration.
- Flight feel is #1 priority
- This means lowest (realistic) possible input latency
- Use as a practice tool
- Lap times should be similar for most pilots/setups/tracks
- Editable maps with commonly used track elements
- Realistic video static/interference like what you'd see in an actual FPV race
- Competitive
- The sim does not provide significant advantages to those with high end gaming rigs
- The "sim quads" could be flown "against" real quads, and yield a fair competition
- Field friendly (works on recent lower end laptops)
- Usable with or without internet connection

hard to tell how acurate the physics are, but its still fun1 found this helpful
Flying a drone in this was fun. Made me interested in getting a real one.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
"FlowState" is an open sourced FPV drone simulator game with a strong focus on realism and support for modern real world drone controllers that you can hook up to the game and use to control virtual drones in various races. With nobody, because this doesn't really work as well as it would need to, and it was abandoned by the developers years ago. Yes, the "developers" walked away from this 5 years and 10 months ago. Unless someone else picks up the open sourced project, this won't ever be completed. The graphics aren't great, rather low quality low poly assets, low res textures and overall poor visual quality. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's …
game is fricking awsome !
Maybe it will get there given more time, but at the moment, I cannot get my controller to input throttle at all Chosing multiplayer crashes the game, The game is locked to 4:3 resolution I want it to work but currently it does not.
