TL;DR: If you dont like tryp, you definitely won't like this game because it shares a lot in common with it, and I suggest you holding off buying this. Game's still wonky here and there, but there are a few nice features specific to this game. Overall I rate this game maybe 25/100 in its current state and the price is brutal for what its worth atm even though I think drone sims are kind of absurdly cheap in the modern economy for what they're worth generally. I'd recommend this game if the current state was a free demo, it shouldn'y be $30 but for the price point it's a hard not recommended from me. But that doesn't mean I won't play it, I'll get my money's worth out of this one one way or another. THIS REVIEW IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Here are some of the good stuff: * Only drone sim I've played so far that has this many configuraiton controls for battery simulation * Looks good if you upscale or render at 150%+ resolution and squint your eyes to ignore the aliasing of shrubbery alike (I recommend turning down your graphics and increasing upscale for the best of both worlds as with every other unreal engine drone sim with fisheye postfx) * Supports ray tracing without mandatory …2 found this helpful
This is VERY promising. I am so glad someone decided to make a high fidelity FPV game. Seems to be pretty well optimized for a demanding game. At 1440p max settings with DLAA, I get around 130FPS with my obviously beefy PC. Also runs great under Proton on Linux. The customization is solid, I feel you can achieve pretty much whatever you want after tweaking. Picked up my Boxer immediately. I hope this gets updates for years to come.1 found this helpful
This sim still needs work and is still in early access, but I play this sim for the visuals, not for the physics, as it still needs work. Amazing tho :)
Maps!
Physics just feel really off. The Drone is too floaty and too heavy at the same time. It feels like the Quad isn't actually simulated as a Quad, and more like a Cube being accelerated magically in the direction you're facing. Would sadly not recommend right now in it's current state, even tho I was looking forwards to this one. Get "The Zone" instead
It Has mass potential to be really great, needs lots of set up time, needs a big tough PC (i have to play on potato mode) But that being said its still not Bad, but again with lots of tweaking, it also needs maps, multiplayer, but hopefully they keep this up because it could be great, would i recommend? Yes if you are a seasoned pilot and you know how to tweak and set things up, No if you are a beginning pilot, stick with uncrashed FPV Sim, its a great one.
