About Foul Bliss

Foul Bliss is a story-driven psychological horror game—a surreal tale about cinema, music, and the coexistence of beauty and terror.Step into the role of an 80s movie protagonist, complete with a film grain effect, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere with an original soundtrack. Explore an old mansion hidden in a foggy forest and meet its inhabitants. Follow the instructions of a voice on the radio and survive in a world teetering between art and reality. The player is not helpless—they have the means to defend themselves, but weapons require skillful handling and careful ammo management. There are no unlimited bullets here, and every pull of the trigger must be a deliberate choice.A dark story that immerses players in a surreal world where cinema, music, and the darker aspects of the human psyche intertwine. This is a game for those who appreciate layered narratives and tension that steadily builds with every detail.A specially crafted original soundtrack accompanies every moment of the game, enhancing the atmosphere and capturing the balance between beauty and fear. The music accentuates emotional moments and adds depth to the narrative, helping players fully immerse themselves in the experience. The player receives instructions through a radio, following the guidance of a mysterious voice. This adds intrigue to the game, as the voice can either help or mislead, and the motives of whoever is behind it remain unclear. In Foul Bliss, the boundaries of reality are blurred—the mansion is not just a place but a gateway to something beyond this world. A realm of nightmarish visions, where every second spent within it alters reality and its inhabitants.

I would like to express my appreciation to the young studio that has delighted me with the game's lore and atmosphere. The stunning level design and detailed objects evoked positive emotions in me. The sound effects and the music at the end were absolutely amazing. And the flower-like creatures? Simply beautiful! The story was a bit short, and I would love to return as soon as possible to find out what happens next. The concept is great—please add a continuation so we can immerse ourselves in the game with even more enthusiasm. There were some drawbacks, such as the balance of personal items like bullets and pills in relation to the number of monsters. I would also love to see more monsters with increased health. More jump scares would be great too—elements of surprise and tension are essential. I think the forest should be made much darker so that only the streetlights are visible, and the number of monsters there should be significantly increased. Overall, the game is good. If the developers take all the feedback into account and implement it in a future update, it will be absolutely fantastic. The game is definitely worth the time spent playing it.

It's... bad. The game is clearly Russian made, which isn't a problem by itself, but it's translated and a lot of stuff is either badly translated or (in the case of the Medium video settings and a couple other things) not translated at all. The combat is garbage. You get bum rushed by a bunch of monsters and die because reloading takes five seconds, or they come at you one at a time so you can easily pick them off in order. There is zero guidance other than "go to this room" but it doesn't tell you which room is which. You spend a lot of time wandering aimlessly looking for something new to interact with. The checkpoints are trash and you never know what point you're at. The "flashlight" is first a lighter that takes 5 full seconds to light, then a projector which is instant but half the time doesnt actually light up anything. Basically it's all just very clunky and slow and not fun.
