About Free Spirit VR Meditation

Free Spirit VR single-user experience immerses you into the meditative journey on the Inca path in the sacred valley of Peruvian Andes. Walking in beauty, connected with your heart and passion, you will explore the mountain track, admire the sunset above the Andean peaks, Urubamba river and mysterious Machu Picchu, listen to the sounds of nature and he relaxing native American flute and follow the voice of the wisdom woman inviting you to release the energy of the past and set your intentions for the future at the sacred fire while catching a glimpse of the Milky Way.

VR user enters the virtual setting of Machu Picchu at sunset. They are guided by the voice of wisdom woman and invited to walk the path to the bonfire. The path is illuminated by the fire torches and the user has to use the controller visualized as a stick to make steps on the path using teleportation function. When the user arrives to the bonfire they have to click on the glowing bubble to get to the sitting part of the guided meditation at the bonfire.  At the bonfire the sunset is followed by the scene of the night sky view. The wisdom woman invites the user to set their intentions at the bonfire by writing and drawing and sending the drawings and writings to the fire. The freedom to write and draw and send to the fire is given as the timer is set for 10 minutes. The users can create as many paintings and write as many words as they want.  If the users are done faster with the painting and writing they can click on Continue button on the controller to listen to the closing part of the meditation. At the end of the guided meditation two options to stay or exit are eye triggered. The user can decide to stay as long as they wish or exit. The experience is open ended. Total VR Experience run time excluding user interactions at the bonfire is 20 minutes.
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/H0tCFSIIXAo This is an about 10 minute long, meditative experience through the Peruvian Andes Mountains. Where you basically teleport up a quick climb, see the scenic views, then sit at a campfire. There's a narrator saying a prayer to the fire in English. You can also draw during this and then send your painting to the fire. That's it basically. Experience is running on the Unreal Engine. I was getting variable frame rates from 90 to frame rates in the 40s fps. The visuals were just okay and something that would be fine in a free to play experience. The ambient sounds were also just okay. While the narration was good and the musical score, that doesn't exactly amount to a premium experience. There's only teleport for the locomotion and the locomotion was not smooth (as it was difficult to turn in the direction you wanted). This is a unique relaxation app, but there are better ones in VR. I would say that Ayahuasca is better in every way and is available for $1 USD more. I would recommend that over this. You may get 10-20 minutes of enjoyment out of this, but it's not a premiu…

Empowering meditative experience, highly recommended! Either if you are a an experienced or beginner meditator. This 10-15min experience delves you into the visually-stunning site of Machu Pichu, where you follow a trail alongside a beautiful voice that guides you. The sun sets alongside the walk, creating delightful light effects. This visually rich experience guides you to release your fears and envision the life that you want. Although some people may consider the experience short, the power of this piece stands on the intention you put on it. It is not about quantity of scenarios, it is about your sincerity when setting your intentions in front of the fire, to release what you don´t need and bring about the life that you envision.

+ pleasant voice of the guru reading the meditation text + very interesting idea when you visualize your innermost thoughts and dreams, and then send them into the fire + nice graphics - I used Oculus Quest via Oculus Link and the interaction felt non intuitive. For teleportation and sending pictures to the fire, don’t pull or push the main trigger on the Oculus Quest controller, but press it. In summary, I can recommend for people who are really interested in meditation - this program is not a game.

Using Valve Index for VR. Unable to move from starting position. Didn't pay much but still, I wanted to be able to use it and go to the fire.

Walk to a fire and hear somebody talking mumbo-jumbo at you. There's nothing here which you haven't seen before. Also, it would have taken them moments to add index support. The code is all freely available. Instead, we have to do it manually.

Tried contacting dev after repeated attempts to fix compatibility or use magical admin powers. Just couldn't move on Oculus Rift. Requested refund.
