About Frontera

Frontera is primarily a fantasy city builder with emphasis on producing items for unit wants and combat. Units have four stats trainable at buildings that will also sell technology. Available items and production will grow strong enough to challenge the monsters that infest the rest of the island.
Establish production chains to make over 90 items. Gather raw resources to refine them into tools, weapons, and amenities.Store products and settlers will make purchases at the markets. Look into the wants of your people to see what they will buy. Fulfill unit wants to a satisfactory amount to increase the rate that more will arrive to help. Units will also purchase new tools to use at work. Collect income from these purchases and from housing.
Use your collected funds to attract more settlers and license technology from the guilds. Build and upgrade guild buildings to train your units to be more efficient at production. Recruit an army to establish and defend outposts that will grant passive resource generation. Units will automatically fight once they meet an enemy on the overworld.

Make your way to deal with the source of the islands monster infestation, after which the island will be secured!

It is pretty silly how many people you need for everything, but other then it seems okay so far. Not much to build or do but its a start. Not sure if this game is going anywhere, the forum seems pretty dead to me but the dev seem to be active so that is a good sign. 21.03.2024 I tried the game again and managed to do everything you can do in this game. By making troops first and worry about people later i was able to do the two fights that are in the game. After that the same thing that happend in my first game ended up happening again. Production cant keep up with consumption and the sliders seem to do nothing. You get more people to produce more goods that need more people that need more goods. The tool production building do not work properly and once weapon consumption is enabled you wont be able to get any more soldiers. At the moment this is more or less a two hour game that needs allot of work. 28.08.2025 So i tried the game again and it has had allot of work done to it, still not really ready but its no longer a 2 hour game and more like a 6 hour game. Its a slow game and right now it has a storage issue that will slow down everything, you can set limits to the war…

Well, it's a game. I'll give this one a year and if it turns out not to be vaporware, I'll update the review.

Seems like it will be a fun game once it's fleshed out! It has good bones now but pretty shallow

First of all there is no tutorial in the game. You just get thrown into it not knowing what to do. I figured some things out and saved the game, Next day I decided to play some more. My save game will not load back up. It hangs for awhile.
