What Steam players say

Players appreciate the core puzzle gameplay and charming pixel art of this No Heroes Allowed port, which offers a fun match-three experience without the pay-to-win mechanics of the original PS Vita version. However, the Steam version suffers from significant technical issues including crashes on newer Windows versions and with controller input, poor translation quality compared to the Vita release, and a grind-heavy progression system that was originally designed around microtransactions, making it feel unfinished and substantially inferior to its source material.
Besides the bugs, the publisher did a piss poor port on the Android then thought it would be great to just port that same port to Steam. Well sad to say, but this will never be as good as the PS Vita version thanks to the programmer using Unity as a quick & dirty means to get it out the door (I question their knowledge of Unity as well). The publisher has been long gone even before I bought this, and if I knew how bad it was I would not have gotten this. I even tried it on Steam Deck (due to the touch screen) It worked for 15 ish minutes then crashed. After that it'll now crash at the title screen with a error and a message to not give it a bad review (well too bad so sad I am.) Even after reinstalling it on Steam Deck same issue. Windows with a mouse is a real chore with the registering of clicks being a 50/50 bet that it'll work with drop downs and attacks from the heroes timings being all over the place even on the first level. Hero attacks may be 10 sec. next being under 2 sec. for example and on tiles dropping can have up to a 10 sec. Delay so it becomes rather annoying than challenging. Avoid this game until someone else makes a better port or until someone builds a m…7 found this helpful
Ah man a classic. Played the game back on my PSVita as a newcomer (This Was My 1st Game) to the badman/No heroes allowed series. I do enjoy the classic puzzle features with the sliding mechanic. But i am a bit upset that the PSVita Version was fully (and properly) translated while the steam/mobile version is not. Only The Essential text/dialog is translated and at that it seems it was just thrown into google (Or bing) translate. Atleast here on steam while yes, you have to pay to download and play. There is no IAP (In-App Purchases) as there were IAPs on the PSVita Version. The PSVita version was also a finished and/or polished product with multiplayer and events too. While the Steam (Not too sure about mobile) has a mode called "Survival Mode" that is ""Coming Soon"" even though the Steam build has been out 2ish years (At the time of writing). While i did enjoy the game it had it's issues/problems. In all, until the Devs Fix this. Don't pick it up unless you are a die hard fan and don't mind only barely understanding the essential text.6 found this helpful
As a fan of the No Heroes Allowed! franchise in general, this game leaves a lot to be desired. If you want to play this game in English, go for the PS Vita version. It's far more polished, especially with regards to translation, and if you want to pay away the F2P-P2W elements, it's got that option, wherein you have a serviceable game. If you want to play this game in Chinese, this version suffices, but it's...still iffy. I'll be reviewing the English version. The PS Vita release, I personally find very enjoyable. The gameplay consists of a very fun sliding puzzle centred around getting massive combos, with an enjoyable premise in helping a classic evil overlord take over the world. With hero and monster encyclopaedias to fill and an evolution feature, it can get very addictive, very fast. Hard to screw up, right? Well, the Steam release is suffering from that "bad Unity port" syndrome you see a lot from games around this time. For starters, the translation kind of sucks. There's a lot of basic grammatical errors, even on the Steam page itself. There's a lot of missed plurals, poor spacing, and more; it was clearly an afterthought. Coming out years after the perfectly good PS …2 found this helpful

Game has a bootloop on new OSs, dont consider this game if you are on Win10/11. Will change when the restart screen is fixed. will try to fix myself, and if i cant in less than 2 hours of gametime, i will refund the game.
◙ There is an active bug: when you try to start the game with the xbox one controller plugged in the game crashes you have to disconnect it completely for the game to boot◙ To the review: This game is a port of an older PS Vita game! Back then it was riddled with micro-transactions, those are missing from the Steam version. However, the economy of the game is still based on those micro-transactions so the game still takes a lot of your time to level your monsters up (Grind-fest)! The good: Match three type game where you are the (cheesy bad guy). Pixel Art that remains beautiful and vibrant. Easy to play. A nice time waster. The Bad: Sometimes the in-game pop-up banners (warnings) prevent you from clicking and sliding missing a turn. Some of the translation is hilariously bad. Bad layout (considers your monitor a touch screen and that is a big problem. Delete save is RIGHT NEXT TO THE QUIT BUTTON! If you like sliding match 3 block puzzles, corny humor this is your game. Grab it (on sale) and enjoy!
