漫游五千年 is a pretty relaxing strategy game that mixes tower defense with idle progression, and I found the combination surprisingly easy to get into. The Three Kingdoms setting gives it a familiar foundation, but the game is more focused on building up a strong group of heroes and setting up defenses than trying to be a historically accurate strategy experience. I liked the casual feeling because I could make progress without needing to constantly watch every little thing. The main gameplay revolves around recruiting and developing generals, then placing them in tower defense stages to stop incoming enemies. I enjoyed figuring out where to place my strongest characters and how to arrange a team that could handle the enemies efficiently. The battles are simple enough that I can understand what is happening quickly, but there is still some satisfaction in improving my formation and watching it perform better after an upgrade. The idle side of the game works well alongside the tower defense system. I can continue gaining resources while I am away, which makes returning to the game feel rewarding.
