Game Of Thrallan feels like someone threw a tabletop campaign, an energy drink, and a questionable rulebook into a blender—and then hit “PURE PANIC.” You load in expecting strategy and heroics, and instead you get a medieval slap-fight where alliances last exactly as long as it takes someone to find a shinier sword. The vibe is “serious fantasy,” but the gameplay is “everyone is one bad decision away from becoming a ragdoll.” I have watched noble warriors sprint into battle with the confidence of kings… only to get folded like laundry by a guy named *xXThrallDaddyXx* hiding behind a bush. The moment-to-moment experience is basically: 1. Make a plan. 2. Feel smart for 3 seconds. 3. Something unhinged happens (it always does). 4. Panic, improvise, blame your teammates. 5. Repeat until you’re laughing too hard to be mad. Also, the social aspect? Incredible. You’ll form a sacred pact with someone, fight side-by-side, win a glorious skirmish… and then they’ll immediately loot your body the second you trip. Shakespeare could never. **Pros:** * Chaotic fun with friends * “Just one more match” energy * Constant accidental comedy **Cons:** * Balance is… a suggestion * Trust is a lim…2 found this helpful
Look, it's a free game, and (presumably) people put real effort into putting this together, but this game is not good. Absentmindedly roaming through areas until you find the two bosses against whom your skills don't really do much, turning the only notable encounters of the game into cheesy grindfests of running in, doing every ability, and backing off to heal and recharge. The animations force cinematic freeze-frames for some admittedly pretty cool vfx, but the game feels more like a tech demo for the animation than anything else of substance. Come for Thrall's backstory, stay for the Vietnamese folklore. Or don't come. I'm not convinced this didn't download a bitcoin miner or something on my machine.
