Get Ogre It

He has been cursed by an alchemist and now the ogre transforms and alternates between being a human and being an ogre. The goal is to progress through the various dungeons and boss fights while survival the struggles. Within the levels, there are both the pink coloured humans and the blue coloured ogres that moves towards you to attack depending on what form you are in. Every few steps changes the character between their forms and within the levels so it is important to maneuver your position so that you dont die to them. It is a pretty neat concept which i havent tried before. The designs of the levels do also differ between playthroughs. The visual look of the game is pleasant with the old school kind of pixel graphics, and is accompanied with some really catchy 8 bit music and silly sound effects as the character moves. Overall it is a cute, little roguelike with an interesting concept.

I didn't like it. The devs made a game that could be understood without tutorial text, but this required them to make the mechanics very simple. The only action you can directly perform is walking in cardinal directions. The other main game mechanic, transforming between ogre and human forms, happens automatically. There are only four levels (plus a final boss fight), which are randomly generated, as expected from a roguelike, but apart from graphics and music, there doesn't seem to be any difference between each. The levels are big, but mostly empty aside from the occasional groups of enemies and allies, so looking for the exit to each feels like a waste of time. There's no combat whatsoever. If you see enemies in your way, you just have to walk back and forth until you transform into their side, and then get past them. All enemies (and you) can see through walls, so there's no real stealth. Finally, the achievements are broken. I got the one for completing the tutorial, but no other despite completing their conditions. At least the graphics and music are nice. The enemies drawing or putting away their weapons was a cute little detail. But this really feels like a game jam gam…

This could have been an interesting stealth/puzzle game, but it's more of a gimmick.

While I found it a short experience, it was an enjoyable puzzle. In the future I'd likely attempt to attain a high score in the endless mode.

Tbh this game was very disappointing. The trailer made it appear as some puzzle strategy game but all it is is a randomly generated map with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of enemies from each side. The main feature is that you swap sides every 7ish steps, but the problem is how boring the gameplay is. There is no strategy its just wait for the cooldown to run out and get out. Wouldn't mind the 10,000 enemies if they actually attacked each other. But nope, all they do is wait for you to swap sides to murder you.

A simple, puzzle-based traditional roguelike concept. There's no combat whatsoever - your goal is to avoid enemies by swapping alignment every 8 moves (plus or minus a few after upgrades) and avoiding those aligned against you. It's an interesting concept, and once it clicks, it's fun to tear through levels at a breakneck pace, feeling the flow of the alignment changes as you move. The game's definitely built for speedrunners and would be thoroughly entertaining to watch in such a setting. That said, it's VERY light on content - as other reviewers have said, it's more an arcade game than any form of actual roguelike. After less than an hour you'll pretty much get what the dev is going for here. A quick, fun play if you snag it on sale for a couple bucks. At full price, it's remarkably overpriced, as of the time of this review, anyway.
