About Dwarf Looter
Ludum Dare 54 Entry
Descend into the depths as a greedy dwarf in search of loot and riches in this roguelike dungeon crawler RPG. Each passage presents new challenges as you explore procedurally generated ruins full of enemies to fight and treasures to find.
The deeper you go, the greater the rewards, but also the greater the danger. Gather powerful weapons, bizarre hats and tasty snacks to prepare for epic battles against rats, demon lords, dragons and half a dozen goblins. Beware of the GREED curse that afflicts wealthy dwarves, making escape to the top all the more perilous the greater your booty.
Master deep combat mechanics combining axes, shields, legendary armor and salamis. Discover strange magical artifacts among piles of gold and gems. But know when to stop - death is permanent in the depths, so use your gold and courage wisely.
Dwarf Looter blends reduced inventory management leading to highly improvised situations and choices, procedural generation, turn-based combat and a light RPG progression in a humorous fantasy world. Can you defeat the final boss and become the richest dwarf, or will you die of a mushroom overdose first?

Really great game <3 But didn't find how to die :c5 found this helpful
A ridiculously simple game. I doubt it will receive more updates but this is something you use to pass time in a boring lecture or a slow day at work. It has just enough depth to eat away an hour or two of your life whenever you boot it up. Don't expect OG elder scrolls depth but this game is no slouch either. The devs clearly cared. For some of us, the 5.99 price tag is totally worth it, for others, they might get bored within the first hour. I'd say this totally is fun. It could do with more weapons and enemy types, but it's good for what it is.2 found this helpful
Short and easy but fun nonetheless. Great art style. Nominated this for best visual award Steam 2024!1 found this helpful
This game is incredible. It is fun, entertaning, and has lots of potential. There are a lot of ways I could see this game be expaned. I thought this game must have been more than ten years old based on the great price and art style, In my mind I compared it to the games produced by pop-cap in their golden days ("peggle deluxe" and "plants vs zombies"), titles I view as superior to most modern games due to the fact that it is fun, light, and relaxing, but I did not expect that from a new game! Right now, there is a lot of features that seem left out, like a game would in early access, but what is there is so good that I can't help to love it. Right now I feel like it is too easy to beat the bosses, as I usually defeat the end boss in 1-3 hits, and it is hard to die to bosses, as all you need is at most three hams and good armor / existent armor + investment in extra health, but I still recomend it to everyone. 9.89/10, best game I have purchased in years(including starfield)1 found this helpful
This runs perfectly on my ancient 4GB laptop, even tho the store page recommends 6-8GB I love Durdil, he is a very well-optimized dwarf
Very enjoyable game. Would recommend
