About Delver

Delve into the shifting dungeons on your hunt for the Yithidian orb, but getting it might just be the easy part. Delver is a single player first-person action roguelike dungeon crawler, just like you wished they used to make.

Slay monsters, blast wands, hoard potions, and loot everything.
  • A silky smooth mix of 90s FPS combat with classic RPG mechanics.
  • In these dungeons once you're dead you stay dead. Permadeath means that when you die, you begin each run into the dungeon anew.
  • Tough as nails gameplay will test your skills, no grinding will save you here.
  • A procedural dungeon that will keep you on your toes, no two runs will ever be the same.
  • Delicious chunky pixels!

Easy to pick up gameplay, but difficult to master. The dungeon has been waiting for you.

Delver is a single player, first person, pixel-art, roguelike, dungeon crawler. And imo, it has some of the greatest sound design in the industry. It's "Atmosphere", or ambiance, or vibe, or FEEL (or whatever TF people are calling it this year) is something remarkable. I first played it on Itch.io many years ago, and although I didn't play it a lot on Steam, I felt eager to give my money to this extremely small, and talented dev team (2 designers & 1 composer), they deserve EVERY penny. If you're at all interested, here's WHY; The game was first released in Alpha, on Android OS in 2012. It was then green-lit onto Steam Early Access in 2013, & didn't leave Steam-EA until 2018. These 2 people spent ~7 years of their lives making a perma-death pixel art FPS in the 20-teens... Their dedication absolutely shows in the final product. Delver is not at all complex for a video game in 2018, It doesn't break any truly new ground, and it's story is almost non existent. However, it's execution is as close to flawless in what it IS trying to achieve, as a tiny indie project can get. ~89/100~

A delightful and fun little rougelike. The gameplay is great, though I keep pressing space to jump and wasting my magic items. The music also absolutely slaps!

Not much depth to it. Apparently has mouse issues which haven't been fixed for years. Can't recommend for current price (7,50). Its more like a 2,99 game.
