Ginger: Beyond the Crystal receives mixed reviews, with players praising its charming, old-school platformer design, colorful worlds, and nostalgic appeal to classic 3D adventure games. However, the game is significantly hampered by control issues, particularly with cart and balloon movement mechanics that frequently fail to register inputs, causing progression to halt mid-game and leaving some players feeling the game is unplayable.
DO NOT BUY! The controls for moving carts and air balloons are not registered. One has to move the mouse up and down, but nothing happens. When I moved the mouse at a degree of approx 50, sometimes the controls kicked in, but that trick no longer works. That means that your progress comes to a halt midgame. DO NOT BUY, the controls are broken!7 found this helpful

The central structure of Ginger: Beyond the Crystal revolves around exploring semi-open levels across several themed worlds, each filled with corrupted creatures, broken villages, and environmental obstacles. As Ginger, players run, jump, dash, and fight their way through these spaces, cleansing crystals to restore balance and unlock new paths forward. Movement is intentionally straightforward, with abilities such as double jumps and dashes formi…
Terrible, unplayable drivel.
A very cool and exciting game to play. There are a few bugs and glitches wich are a bit annoying sometimes, but in total i would really reccomend this game and give it a try if you love platformers.
Fun, charming game like in the good ol' days. Epic music and nice worlds.
