About Globalism

Globalism is a global strategy that spans the 21st century. The game deeply explores all aspects important for government: economics, domestic politics, international relations, military operations, climate change, scientific and technological progress. Deep elaboration of these aspects is important for a plausible depiction of current and potential problems that humanity faces, or may face.
KEY FEATURES
  • real time game
  • you can play for any country
  • real economy
  • various crises of the 21st century
In the real world, the place of production and consumption of a product often does not coincide. Huge transport flows deliver goods all over the world. Production chains span dozens of countries. The game recreates this model, only with fewer products.
Every product is produced somewhere, transported around the game world, and used somewhere.
VARIOUS CRISES
The development of civilization opens up new opportunities for humanity, but also creates new threats. Economic crises, epidemics, climate change, the threat of nuclear war, demographic transition, the emergence of strong AI. All this can become an obstacle to the stable development of humanity in the game. Leading the country to success through this century will be a challenging task for the player.

I've spent some time playing this game, and while it has potential, there are some notable issues. Unfortunately, several features showcased in the trailer, such as region specializations and certain UI elements, are missing in the current version. Additionally, the game is difficult to understand for new players. Even now that I’ve grasped the mechanics, it remains challenging because, after a certain point, the game struggles to handle the economic calculations effectively. That said, it's still in early access, and I believe it has a promising future if it receives optimization, better balance, and additional features. One improvement I'd suggest is starting all countries with an open market by default. Manually setting this for multiple countries is tedious and could be streamlined. In conclusion, I recommend holding off on purchasing it for now, but keep an eye on its development. With more polish, it has the potential to become a hidden gem.

This game is a good economic model and the developers are responsive, which is appreciated!!! I recommend the early release tryout. The developer optimized and updated the game recently which brought much needed substance to the game...Great Job!!!!
