STORY
From the creators of the award-winning sci-fi game Out There...
In the near future, a paradigm-shifting scientific discovery looms over the world, promising radical new technologies. The world’s superpowers realize they could have the power to destroy the global financial system, wipe out entire countries or even gain access to immortality.
However, this discovery — called “The Sigma Theory” — can only be harnessed by a handful of scientists. You are placed at the head of your country’s Sigma division. Your objective is to ensure that it is your nation that reaps the benefits of Sigma Theory before anyone else.
To achieve this you will have powerful resources at your disposal: a cadre of the world’s most elite covert agents, advanced tactical drones and, of course, your own skills in diplomacy and subterfuge.
It’s a cold war out there, one in which mankind must face up to its future.
THE ULTIMATE ESPIONAGE SIMULATION
Turn-based espionage: Use your special agents to dominate the world. Seduction, blackmail, manipulation, industrial espionage… Every low blow is both permitted and encouraged.
Dynamic narrative: Develop and manage your relations with over 100 NPCs: lobbies, armed groups, politicians… Alliance, deception or assassination, you choose.
Field operations: Direct the kidnapping of your targets during gripping pursuits through the world’s greatest cities. Discretion or direct confrontation, your agent’s life is in your hands.
RecruitmentFirst, recruit a team of four special agents from 50 unique unlockable characters to support your missions. Each comes with their own story, motivations and traits that define their behavior during missions.
Access the investigator, soldier, hacker, seducer and other archetypes to complete your Sigma division and execute your strategy.
EspionageWhen your team is ready, assign them missions around the world to gather scientists, discover compromising documents on local politicians, and more.
Exploit your agents’ abilities to seduce, manipulate and bribe your targets over to your side or have them neutralized.
Counter-espionageOther nations will also use their agents to infiltrate your country and seize your scientists. Track, capture and interrogate them to gain information on your enemies, then exchange them for ransom when they are no longer useful.
ExfiltrationOrder your agents to exfiltrate scientists recruited to your cause during gripping turn-based exfiltration phases through the world’s greatest capitals. Choose the position your drones wisely to support these delicate missions.
DiplomacyIn Sigma Theory, diplomacy is the key to achieving your goals. Meet your foreign counterparts and further your objectives using flattery, threats or blackmail. You can also recover your captured agents, advance your research, and much more. Develop your relations with powerful lobbies and armed and influential groups to obtain their favor. But be careful, they may turn on you.
Tech TreeSigma Theory is the cause of this cold war. Rally scientists from around the world to your cause to discover new technologies to gain the edge and change the world. Mind control, destabilization of the world economy, robot soldiers, immortality… Will you keep these discoveries for yourself or share them with the world?

This is a unique game, nothing quite like this in the market. It is basically a board game. You play as a boss of secret organization that tasked you to help your chosen country to win the tech rush, basically whoever earn most point the fastest win while at the same time keeping a doomdays clock as high as possible. The game itself doesn't explain itself well and the tutorial is barebone, the first wall every potential player will find it hard to overcome. But once you get the gist of it the game is very fun to play. A run took about an hour or two. The music blends in well and match with the spy theme. The random chances are there but you can guide it to your favor with preparations. There are no significant bug that I am aware while playing. No multiplayer though, there are not much point in unlocking more agents once you figure out the best agent of the role you want for the country you play. The AI does cheat with an unrealistic pace even if you are doing well. There are no room for roleplay or doing specific challenge (like pacific only or war crime only) because of the RNG which may limited your fun time of the game. Played once thru so far. I almost resigned since I was so far behind in research, but i caught up and passed everyone to win. Was that a fluke or a flaw in the game? There's just enough to do each turn to make the gameplay interesting. You have to think a few steps ahead when you want to grow your pool of scientists without losing agents. Graphics are simple but appealing and the iconography is clear. I especially like identifying and recruiting scientists - real OPSEC stuff. Looking forward to trying again with new agents.
This is a very niche genre with most games being a disappointment. This game is okay. I would recommend it to try if you want a spy/diplomatic strategy game. My main complaint is that not all things seem balance is what you can do. It can also feel a bit more like a puzzle than a strategy game.. I define puzzle in that there ends up being 1 clear way of solving something. Still.. i give a positive cause this genre is fun to me and they at least made something fun.
Everything fails. Is your guy 7+ intelligence? Guess what?! He can't hack anything. Is your guy 6+ strength? Guess what?! Can't extract anyone. Anything happens and the governments panic. Do nothing.....same outcome.
Sadly, its not very good. I really wanted it to be, but it just isin't.
Great concept, but poor execution. It's frustrating and there really isn't too much emergent gameplay here. I really wanted to enjoy it.
