About Grave Prosperity - part 1
"Grave Prosperity" is a remake of LDC Studios' 2015 title: "Grave Prosperity: Redux"
STORY
1988: An indescribable evil descends upon the quiet town of Prosperity, utterly ripping apart the Velez Estate.
Three Years Later: An anomaly wipes Prosperity from the map, turning it into a desolate ghost town. Investigations turn up with nothing, and the surrounding area becomes the focus of many unresolved disappearances.
2018: The small town once known as Prosperity has long since faded into obscurity, becoming one of many forgotten ghost towns across North America...
... Many have unwittingly crossed its silent borders. All have vanished.
Today you will cross those borders. Today you will see what none have seen. Welcome to Grave Prosperity.
FEATURES
GP is an Action/ Horror title that focuses heavily on player reflex. Take on the role of Amber Ridge, a character who is as mysterious as she is dangerous, and fight your way through the accursed halls of Prosperity.
-- Upgrade your abilities with EXP and become a walking tank, or a destructive force of nature!
-- Challenge yourself with maddening levels of difficulty, or just enjoy a stylish and bloody walk through the park on the easier modes.
-- Enjoy the 90's-era camp, along with classic in-game FMV sequences to top off that nostalgia trip!

the game itself is fun but the bosses get really annoying very quickly, the secret is stocking up on exp and upgrading until you can't anymore...having good reflexes help too :p
Honestly, as this is essentially a remix of the same game, my review is the same as House of Velez: Within the first few minutes of playing this, I felt like I was in 1995, which is a great thing. However, once the action really got going, I felt like I was in 1995, which is not a great thing. You see, the dev did a stupendous job in creating the right kind of atmosphere for what this game needed to be. However, the controls and gameplay did not need to follow suit, and should have been a bit more modernized. While I have been through this with games 30 years ago, it was always the thing that held them back. When making a game that is a clear homage to the horror of that era, you should certainly pull from its strengths, but equally, you should try to improve on its weaknesses. That being said, I appreciate the effort here and I am honestly torn, as the visuals and the feelings this generates are authentic and genuine to its inspirations.

This game has a fun, high ceiling of difficulty. The sheer difficulty of the unreasonably difficult enemies is tempered only how incredibly short part 1 is. The DLC, the Vestigial Princess, is the true winner here. The DLC includes numerous quality of life improvements especially to the options menu and plays infinitely better than Grave Prosperity or House of Velez and includes wonderful death scenes like House of Velez. Janky games only weirdos will enjoy.
not what I expected, the game looks like the old resident evil type but is 1 dimensional.
Good looking on the surface, but gameplay is frustrating mess. It is also very short and wont let you rebind the controls.
