Grimhunt

I received this key through keymailer and although the game looked very interesting at first. It quickly became frustrating due to the lack of understanding. The game really needs at least a tutorial on how to find clues and recognize them. Also, the game froze whenever I tried to do consecutive hunts And I'm on a Ryzen 7 + Nvidia 3060 pc. At it's current state I sadly can not recommend it.

I received this as a free game key to review. The Good I really liked the idea of the game that was written. The art is also really good! It has a really cool aesthetic and fits the theme perfectly. This game has good bones and could be great with more tweaking and polish. I wasn't expecting the phasmophobia style top down game play, but that wasn't a put off in the least. The items in the shop before hunts all looked really interesting and would be more effectively used by a more experienced player. The Meh The font for the main text in the grimoire should be changed. As I was reading the C looked so similar to a ( that it kept throwing me off and confusing me. The two maps available don't really look procedurally generated, they more look like the same 2 maps each time, this didn't bother me much though as this game is still early access. The different phases if the investigation and hunting were explained rather poorly. I thought it was going to literally be 3 phases when in all reality it is a single phase. Investigation ends once you come to a conclusion, so if you wanted to hunt or trap the monster in question you are out of luck. I learned that the hard way. Hunting seeme…

Looked to be instating. Was happy to see a tutorial page. However it did not answer much. I ended up just clicking keys hoping it change something. there is no movement the full screen moves not in a easy to control settings. You get clues however unless you look you wouldn't known you had any. the game doesnt play in anything but a weird windows and f12 screenshots also do nothing.

Okay, I read some reviews and played for quite some time, before and after some updates. Contrary to what has been said, I found the gameplay to be very intuitive. The story itself also seems clear to me. What isn't obvious to the player right away are things you discover over time. That adds to the atmosphere of mystery that the game has. It leaves you, the hunter, curious to discover them, cause you just FEEL that there's more. And you have the resources to do so. So that being addressed, I think the game is heading in a great direction and my attention is on it. The aesthetic is really nice, it matches everything else perfectly. It mixes in several elements that I just LOVE: mystery, puzzles, supernatural beings and more. I got scared out in some moments ngl, I didn't expect that lol. But also, THERE ARE FAIRIES! AND MERMAIDS! AND GNOMES! oh, and also dragons and demons... Looking forward to future updates, the game is currently pretty fun to play but I know there's a lot more to come. It has huge potential and i think everyone should give it a chance!

Grimhunt provide multiple type of puzzles to meet your goal and a unique upgrade system. It is in early access so i will need to wait to give a final call but I recommend keeping your eyes on it if you want a point and click phasmo

So far I cannot recommend this game to anyone. One- NO game play instructions. Two -you can't even uninstall the game to restart with a new game to give you your money back to start fresh for when you do "learn" how to play. I mean what kind of game is this? I only paid $1 and something but I wish I never tried.
