Gunman Tales

I like Gunman Tales to some degree, but it's not enough for a recommendation. The art is fine, even nice if retro is your thing. The atmosphere is there, we have many shops and encounters (most of it lifted from Moonstone: A Hard Day’s Knight on Amiga from 1991, and there are some Atari-inspired mini-games), but what's missing is fun gameplay. It's held back, as mentioned by many others, by bad controls and the prevalence of bugs. For example, achievements may or may not pop (even unearned ones). The game regularly hangs on NPC turns (I press ESC/Pause or restart the game to get past it most of the time). Hitboxes are all over the place, worst controller support ever... yeah, things like that. The game is barely playable with the default setup. It works much better with mouse aim and remapped keys. The game tries to move into the zone on the highest difficulty, but not even that is enough to keep me entertained. And then the other negative aspects kick in. Overall, the lack of refinement and dull gameplay kill it for me.

Something like ''blood bros.'' arcade. Very simple and nice game. It has some additions but, it has the same old school feel.

[b] THE GOOD: [/b] there's a lot to love in this game!! biggest draw: the pixel art and animations are top-notch! charming art direction. locations / setpieces have tons of personality. gameplay is pretty good too. and there's a surprising amount of minigame variety (the shooting galleries are especially satisfying). overall, very very cool indie game! :D [b] THE BAD: [/b] several minor (non-gamebreaking) bugs. during the map phase, NPC "turns" sometimes fail to terminate. steam achievements trigger delayed-- and seemingly randomly-- after being earned. the sheriff repeatedly assigns the train mission. most of these issues can be circumvented by exiting to main menu and then reloading the save, but this is a bit annoying. [b] THE UGLY: [/b] i didn't like the default keybinds, and i wish there was an option in settings to customize them. the default keybinds for MNK were WASD to move and X / C to shoot, making it awkward to move and shoot simultaneously. i would've prefered to bind shoot to M1 / M2 or shift / spacebar. there's a settings option to use mouse input on arcade stages, but unfortunately, this didnt apply to duels or sheriff's horseback missions. i also wish there was…

Trash game, incomplete controls. Cant aim, moving and aiming is the same thing. Its like it was designed by a 4 year old whos never seen a mouse or controller. Also, A and B are backwards?? what on earth is this dogshi7

Its more like a board game than anything else, i would pass unless you are looking for some sort of lame party game.
