Found out about it thru the devs posting on Reddit, played it. This review is more of constructive criticism for the devs than it is a testimonial for prospective players. I'd like to preface by saying its great you finished a project to completion and got it out there in the world, super cool. I love little short horror games and the world needs more of them. That being said there is much to improve upon, especially if you're gonna make an anthology out of it. For starters, the art style. I get like maybe you don't wanna do what everyone else does and make a ps1 style game but the art style of this one, while not ugly per se, wasn't really unsettling and kinda took me out of the immersion. You've got alot going on in the sets and the environment is pretty dense and busy, which is cool, but there was an overall lack of atmosphere in my opinion. Second is the NPCs and dialogue. Im not gonna sweat ya too much on the voice acting or anything cause i presume its your first game and i think its a great start, and maybe this is just my zoomer brained fried attention span, but the NPC interactions were a little more drawn out than they needed to be. 3/10 – Great premise: creepy killer, tense vibe, Texas paranoia. Shame the gameplay forgot to show up. I knock on doors, bugs knock me out. Story pulls me in, then wanders off like it forgot why it left the house. Atmosphere? Solid. Depth and cohesion? Enjoyed this game, was under the impression it was based on a true story but maybe i`m wrong. Anyway great little indie game art style was cool aside from over saturated filter, Oh and the voice acting isnt AI which is refreshing to see but the vocal dialogue volume is low on some npcs and lastly the vhs effect at the end was a bit much.
