About Hazel Sky
Hazel Sky is a heartfelt adventure about a young engineer facing his destiny and his desires.
Sent to an island far from home in the flying city of Gideon, Shane must pass the trials and return as an Engineer or face banishment. Connected via radio, Shane and fellow trainee engineer, Erin strike up an illicit friendship. A friendship that will change the way Shane sees the world.
The Trials are the ultimate test that every Engineer must take before taking the honored role. For Shane, the trials are his destiny, but destiny and desire rarely align and, in a world, divided between honored engineers and reviled artists, Shane finds himself torn. The trials, events in Gideon, and an unlikely romance tell the bittersweet story of love, ambition, and a society on the brink of something new.

The game wasn't TERRIBLE, but it was much more linear than I expected. The puzzles are pretty straightforward, the story was mildly interesting, but not very compelling. There's a minor theme around music, but the actual game music is pretty simplistic. There was no decision making, no alternate paths, no character customization or improvement. The main character experiences zero growth throughout the story. The story builds it up to where you expect to have to make a choice at the end - a very obvious choice - and then doesn't let you make it at all. The gameplay wasn't bad, but don't expect too much complexity.5 found this helpful

I was wholly unprepared for the amount of blood, gore, and just disturbing imagery in general there is in the first hour or so of the game. Now that I know what to look for, I can see a couple instances in the trailer and I see the developer warning about graphic content, but they're really underselling it. The popular user-defined tags also don't indicate anything about this disturbing/graphic content. When I got to a point where eating a psychoactive mushroom is required to progress, I noped out of there, uninstalled the game, and asked Steam for a refund. Not worth the few bucks I spent on it. Content aside, the gameplay was also not that enjoyable. I had many moments of frustration at my character not doing what I expected or wanted, in part because the controls were a bit clunky. Solutions to puzzles were not always apparent and sometimes I was annoyed that I couldn't do a thing that should've been possible given what was previously established by the game.2 found this helpful
The art and sound are fine, but the puzzles are poorly designed and lack necessary guidance—took me nearly 6 hours to finish a game only 2-our in length—, literally unplayable without watching a video walkthrough. Gameplay is dull and monotonous, picking object from X to Y. The Story itself is original but unconvincing and incoherent. It is a painful game to play, I won't try it twice1 found this helpful
