Andrzej Gieralt i really wanted to thumbs up this game. this game has good graphics but does not make up for the stealth and when you die you restart to the beginning (as in starting after a cutscene not when you get a new quest) and it got super annoying, also whenever you pick up a key then read a page it doesn't show you the next quest just the one before and that can be awful and lastly the enemy gets stuck on something then it camps and it just ruined the game play and i couldn't get past it so thats why im refunding the game, and those people looking at my review i recommend to not buy this game.8 found this helpful
So after an hour of playing and two endings i must say the game is doesn't feel good so far. I encountered at least two bugs, the "demon" being stuck on stairs and the notebook with the instructions that are unclear. I had not really an idea what i had to do but wandering around in the dark ,without a torch, picking up letters and keys that would lead me to more letters and keys. Maybe with some improvements, it can turn into a nice little horror game but so far, not really enjoyable. Your choice.5 found this helpful
For the current price (8 EUR), there's just not enough content here. Unfortunately, what is here isn't amazing either. The art style, sound design, and use of light and dark are charming, and the stalker is scary at the very beginning, but the lack of interesting features in both the environment and gameplay, clumsy crouching, and barely functional stealth, leaves little to recommend about this game. And the story, which could have been interesting if worked out in a much longer format, where there wouldn't comically be a 10 minute gap between each major revelation or plot progression, is just a dud. I also encountered a bunch of bugs in my short time with the game, including controls not being responsive, and terrible pop-in in the last area.4 found this helpful
The atmosfere is really good, I reaaally like the textures! In the beggining I was frozen with the whispers thinking the demon was close. But in time you get used to and just play. The demon was very easy to avoid: just run to him, it will damage you and suddenly disapears, with time enough for you to recover the damage and repeat the process. I personally didn't use much of the stealth, just running around like a crazy searching for the keys. And I died reading a note >:( cmon give me a time to breath1 found this helpful
Heir Obscure does a good job with it's atmosphere to create a sense of dread and suspense. It's art style and voice acting both lend themselves to the overall tone as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing experience. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to figure out where you're supposed to go next, but aside from that everything else was straightforward. If you have a completionist mindset and want to find all three endings there's around 1-2 hours of content in the game, which is pretty decent for the price tag.1 found this helpful
Super spooky game! Feels like a modern re-telling of the Slenderman game, but with a more concrete story to it. The atmosphere is incredible, and the ambience is really spot on. Has the appeal of linear story-telling with an open-world style. Highly recommend if you're looking for something that's got a different story to tell, but has the feeling of familiarity to some cult-classics.
