About Hero Emblems II
Adventures of the Night Chasers
A long time ago, there used to be a mercenary group called the Night Chasers. Instead of making money, they went around helping people in need. During the war, they helped many people who were suffering. However, with the advent of peace, the Night Chasers were no longer needed and had to disband. But four young people, Zack, Lucien, Sid, and Odelia, decided to carry on their spirit and formed the new Night Chasers.
In a mission, Zack and his party accidentally saved an elf girl named Dolores, but she couldn't remember anything. Sid worried so much about this girl who traveled far from the Elf Kingdom to the humans' territory. However, this is only the beginning of nightmare for the Night Chasers!

I saw all of the bad reviews stating how difficult this game is. I am an old school gamer and this game feels like older games did where you had to actually be good and had to put some effort into the game to complete it. I am 16 hours in and I have not found it difficult at all. I have not lost any fights or dungeons. Its not difficult, you just need to be smart. Upgrade your gear and skills when you get to new towns, Understand your characters and when to swap them into the team for the most benefit, set up your big combos for boss fights as you go through the dungeon, etc... The game has an adequate and appropriate challenge. I absolutely recommend this game if you enjoy match three and enjoy a moderate challenge RPG.11 found this helpful
I couldn't recommend it. You might get a few hours of fun before the grind and overtuned difficulty cause you to waste hours for an inch of progress. Great potential and presentation foiled by a lack of settings and balance. I would suggest looking at Clash of Heroes, Puzzle Quest, Bejeweled, or Gems of War instead. +Music +Art style +Match 3 gameplay +RPG elements leveling, skills, equipment +Variety of characters/classes +Variety of enemies, board effects -Dialogue not voiced -Battle barks not in English -Lacking backstory -Autosave only, unclear saving -Frequent random battles -Awkward map -Unmovable blocks often prevent matching -No difficulty options -Severe balance issues -Very slow start story -Boss battles drag, frequent restarts needed -Extreme grind for gold/XP/equipment -Highly repetitive -Text/skill names often block portions of matching4 found this helpful
okay so, yes but with an asterisk. this is an old school jrpg built around a match-3 framework. that means this game takes its challenge very seriously, elites and bosses are brutal, they have extremely high health and really dangerous effects that wreck you if you are not paying attention or have not prepared. this game expects you to pay very close attention to weaknesses and defenses and expects you to do at least some grinding for exp and cash. loadouts matter. strategic matches matter. hot swapping party members matters. saving powerful tiles matters. consumables matter. the match 3 combat has charming and satisfying animations that may tempt you to play fast to keep them coming, but you need to pay attention to the board and play strategically, because combos matter. i am not suggesting you ignore the negative reviews, i am just saying not everyone is going to be into old school jrpgs. if you are, the rng inherent to match 3 can sometimes be frustrating and i dont like the frequency of the random encounters. also chest keys kind of suck, you cant manipulate them so clearing them is annoying. otherwise, solid recommendation. lots of build dynamics, fun story, fun …4 found this helpful

its a really fun matching gane
Awful debuff mechanic and buggy endgame
TLDR; Just no, not even during sales or discount. Somehow I got bored, played for 33 more hours and finished the game while watching youtube, so that others won't suffer like me. Pros: - good graphic/presentation - good amount of match-3 gameplay with its RPG contents - not much choice / competition in this genre of match-3 + casual RPG Cons - stupid design for a mouse only game but requires keyboard to play - very bad quality of work, I got soft-locked during combat, this happened for about 10 times during late game, probably some bug caused by conflicting mechanics, I had to force shutdown the game to fix it - the balancing is terrible and disgusting, even after completing all side quests, certain mobs could easily kill your hero with debuff - leveling up is not worth the effort as it is designed to be always underpowered, for example, the damage dealt by one ultimate attack is weaker than a few combo attacks, lol - the debuff mechanic is more annoying than challenging, not only having many different types, but also having multiple tiers, which introduce unnecessary complexity for the enemy side - on other hand, there is no expla…
