HeroTail: Survivors is a pretty interesting take on the survivor style roguelike because the main thing I am controlling is not just one character. I start with a hero and gradually build a whole line of characters behind them, with the group moving around like a living chain. Every hero attacks automatically, so my main job is controlling the movement, choosing new followers and building a team that can survive the increasingly dangerous waves. I like the idea because it gives the usual survivor formula a different shape without making it difficult to understand. The recruiting system is probably my favourite part. Whenever I level up, I get three followers to choose from, and every hero has their own attacks, stats and abilities. There are 15 heroes in total, so I can experiment with different combinations instead of always building the same team. The class bonuses make those choices more important too. Putting certain classes together can give me bonuses such as better stuns, more powerups or increased damage. A copy of nimble quest but does a poor job in execution and disappointingly did not build on it and offers nothing new. Trying to monetise too early, locking classes behind paywall. Better music needed. Game size is too big for what it offers. Not a mobile game but feels like one. Yet Nimble quest is much better. Underwhelming 2/10

Cool core mechanic and I like the different unlocks for the heroes.
