About Hexus
Hexus is a unique game that combines several casual genres, the mixture of which creates the unforgettable atmosphere of Ancient Egypt. The story line revolves around 10 legendary Egyptian artifacts that should be found. A player’s path runs through 120 unique game-levels – puzzles. The player will have to open 15 various mini-games: ranging from Hidden objects to Nilotic mahjong. The action of the game goes around construction and development of a town that the player reigns over. A great number of available constructions and decorative elements, full freedom in town-design plus game-bonuses that town constructions account for, will make a strategic process of town running extremely interesting and breathtaking. The player will be surrounded by responsive assistants and therefore will be able to concentrate only on puzzle-solving. It’s worth mentioning the range of options of this game to create, modify and decorate the player’s avatar. There is a face generator and a clothes shop in the game (70 items for a male avatar and 75 – for a female avatar). Two extra games, classical Lines and Collapse, will go together with the main game. The unforgettable Egyptian journey is waiting for you, try yourself at the role of a powerful Pharaoh or a wize Queen.

A great match 6 game. However the city building part of the game seems to be pretty much an useless gimmick so I didn't even bother with it.2 found this helpful
Hexus gets boring relatively quickly.1 found this helpful
Egypt! =O Egyptians!
The primary puzzles in this game provide a refreshing twist to the whole matching genre, and it directly rewards strategy over mind-numbing repetition... sadly to an extent. The game itself lacks a proper identity gameplay-wise, as it will have you bouncing between a zynga-style city builder, a generic match 2 clone, group clearing, and the standard puzzle mode, with no way to allow you to expect what each level will be. I only have had an hour of playing, but so far, I see no way to replay previous levels other than to create a new save, which feels discouraging, this game should have released with a level select. Be warned, the written English in this is horrendous, either due to the writers having a poor grasp on the language, zero proofreading, or lazy translation. There also is A LOT of dialog in this game, and it easily takes up at least 25% of the play time... I do have further gripes, but these are at most nitpicks that aren't really that important.
Hexus is (kind of) a match-3 style game but with lots of added mechanics and elements. It's a little easy and but does get more complex as you play through. Tiles are hex-based, matching is non-linear, there are temples & lock blocks & other interesting elements, and different game modes. Also has city-building, a storyline, and lots of unlockable aesthetics. Interesting concept. Could use a touch more polish.
