About Hide & Spook: The Haunted Alchemist
Hide & Spook is a party game for 3 players for the HTC Vive!
The Alchemist wears the headset, while the two Ghosts take a controller each and sneak around the room trying to extinguish the candles, using the controller vibrations to locate the candles by feel!
The alchemist tries to "catch" them by staring at them and thus dispelling them from this earthly dimension, returning the ghosts to whence they came!

Hide & Spook: The Haunted Alchemist is an experimental VR game that relies on a specific VR headset, the HTC Vive. 3 players are needed to properly play the game. One player wears the headset, and the other two carry a controller around each. Their objective is to put out candles around the room while the headset player must try to locate them and defeat them by staring at them. Low poly game assets round out the somewhat simplified technical implementation here, and this looks and feels more like a demo/project than a fully fleshed out game. It never caught on, SteamDB shows only 6 players ever logged on concurrently, several years ago, just 2-3 games happening at the same time, and never recovered from that. Current activity shows less than one player logging on per week... and given this requires at least two players, it's dead. It's free, which is appropriate for an experimental/demo game, but I can't think of anyone I could recommend this to. A really cool idea for an asymmetric party game. It probably won't hold you for too long, but it's a lot of fun for both sides. 6/10.
