Do not pay for this 25€ . Playstile of the game is Pikmin like, which is not a bad idea, but... The cutscenes are just a sequence of pictures, bad pictures. That is lazy storyteling and I tought that the game froze in the cutscene. The running animations are atrocious and you are going to look at them for the whole game. In game voices and sentences of characters are repeated very frequently and they are annoying after a while. There is a night mechanic, that is 10 - 15 minutes per night where you have to "explore" the islands. There is nothing more to this mechanic, so it is just to slow down for your progress in the game. AI of the vampire minions is very bad. They get stuck very often, sometimes they cannot be recalled (in boss fight against crab this was frustrating). Hitboxes of vampire minions and some bossess are badly done and they got hit when they should not be or I did not hit the boss even if i shoul. Camera is very bad, i played on controller and with keyboard and mouse and in both variants the camera was a problem. It follows your movement and very often you lose enemy, so you need to hold down a button to focus, which is another problem. Focus on enemy or another th…1 found this helpful
The only reason why I bought this game was because it was my Pikmin 4 before Pikmin 4 came out (it was also on sale). And then I decided to complete all the achievements since I thought it would be funny. Put simply, it was not. Honestly, I do not recommend this game to anyone. Every aspect of this game is subpar, then taken to the uneventful extreme—especially with the final boss. I despise Impas with my entire heart; I have since realized how much I miss my endearing and superior Pikmin. Do not bother with this game.
Shameless rip of games like Pikmin and Overlord with a Hotel Transylvania theme. - Visual design is below passable, but not eye melting. The characters are particularly bad, while the island creatures look decent. - Way too expensive for what it is. -/+ Unoriginal gameplay that could be forgiven if it were smoother. Still functions, though. -/+ Voice lines that are awful to listen to, but you get the vibe the writer and the actors were going for. If you liked the god-awful movie voices, these are about the same level of quality. + Music is ok. Some Halloween and island vibes, as expected. I love minion management games, but I do not recommend this game for most players. If you do not LOVE the genre, do not buy. Even if you do, Overlord is fantastic. Play that instead, then come back once the minion withdrawal sets in.
For it's target audience, is decent if you get it on a sale
7/10 good
