About HueBots
HueBots is a deceptively challenging top-down puzzle game. In the game, you control a team of colorful robots that will only interact with objects that match their color. You must use this special property to solve a wide variety of puzzles!

In HueBots, you have a colorful inventory of robots and blocks you can build. You can spawn robots and move them around; however, they will keep moving in one direction until they collide with something that matches their color. Use your block inventory to create stopping points for your bots. Use your robots to unlock doors, push away blocks, shift colors, and work as a team to help aid your special black and white robot to the finish!
HueBots includes 70 main levels in the game, plus 30 bonus levels that can be unlocked by completing various achievements (e.g. beating certain levels with leftover blocks in your inventory).
HueBots includes an easy-to-use level editor so you can create your own puzzles, too. Building a level is as simple as using a paint program - pick a color and an object, and use the mouse to place down objects.

"HueBots" is another example of Itchio failing the one job it has to contain this kind of amateur shovelware, although at least this is just amateur shovelware and not some kind of scam (so many of those in the free section of Steam). So this is a genuinely, if badly made puzzle game from a decade ago. It's a top down grid puzzle game with a colour matching gimmick. What do you do in the game? You manipulate the robots and blocks to solve increasingly tedious puzzles. The gameplay is repetitive, using only color matching to achieve objectives. There's also a level editor, which nobody used ever. There are a lot of levels, but a lot of a bad thing doesn't make it better, it makes it worse. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). kinda cool
Simple sliding style puzzle, till colors and blocks start getting involved. Then is spices things up with other variations. Not only do you work through specific levels, but there are challenges to unlock additional levels and community created levels. For a free game, this is a fun little brain teaser.

Pretty good movement puzzle game. You have different colours of bots to work with, and they need to operate switches and conquer obstacles to solve the levels. There are 70 puzzles in the main game with varying difficulty, then 30 of them have special challenges to unlock 30 more bonus levels. The puzzle design is decent to very good, a bit short of great or excellent. As the price is very favourable (it's free), and the game is fun, I don't see any reason not to give it a try.
