This game is simple to pick up but hard to put down. I don't normally play puzzle games, but I find myself saying, "alright, just one more level, then I'll put it down and get some work done." The first few levels are deceptively easy. Then they get trickier, although always well designed so you get that satisfying "aha!" moment when you figure it out. I've put more time into the mobile version, but after playing the PC version I prefer its keyboard/gamepad controls. The mobile's touch controls work great; I'm just more of a keyboard person. If you're looking for an addictive, casual puzzle game that you can play in short bursts, this is a really good one.2 found this helpful
I received an alpha key from the developer and played through the game a little bit to test for him but purchased the game on release. I don't play too many straight puzzle games but I do enjoy them in small bursts. Bewildebots is a game that drew me into itself with little to no effort. After beating a puzzle I kept telling my self the next one would be the last. next thing I knew I had completed the entire 5x5 grid size. The puzzles start off simple enough and like any good game it adds new mechanics (obstacles, forced movement blocks, teleporters, falling blocks, pressure plate actiavted gateways, etc) and and builds difficulty based on what was taught in earlier levels. However some of the puzzles do get incredibly challenging. One or two puzzles took me 10 minutes to figure out, but when I did the answers seemed so deceptively simple. I never got around to finishing the 7x7 and 9x9 levels as the time and difficulty ramps up even more with and increasing number of bots and grid space to use. The game is fun for puzzlers and that's all that really matters in the end. I give this game a rating of: BUY1 found this helpful
Just one more room? Brain-frying is right. Low-stakes, but clever and addictive; I burned through the first 80 levels in a sitting. Controls are simple - just move and turn, each of which is issued to every robot at once. Get the robots to the goals without running into the walls or each other. Each chapter adds new tiles like conveyors, teleporters, and cracked floors. Fully turn-based and grid-based, so you can take your time to think about what you're doing. You'll need to, since even the small rooms can have quite a bit going on. Moving the robots and predicting the results of your moves is a little tricky at first, but I got used to it quickly. Recommended for fans of spatial logic puzzles.
