I'm not spider is a really unusual little platformer, and I liked it mainly because it turns basic movement into a test of mouse control. Instead of walking normally through levels, I have to drag the corners of the character around and use its limbs to climb upward. The idea sounds simple, but it feels completely different from a normal platformer. The controls are easily the most interesting part. I have to pay attention to where each part of the character is touching the environment and carefully move the limbs toward useful platforms. Some surfaces allow the character's feet to stick, which gives me more options for climbing. I enjoyed learning how the movement works because even a small mistake can completely ruin my position. The challenge comes from understanding the rules of each platform rather than simply reacting quickly. I cannot rely on normal platforming habits, so I found myself experimenting with different ways of pulling the character upward. That makes the game feel almost like a physics puzzle even though the basic goal is just to reach the top. I also appreciate how minimal the presentation is.
