About Impossible Mission Revisited
Ask anyone who loves retro games from back in the day if they remember ‘Impossible Mission’ – they will almost certainly answer you back with the synthesised voice response of “Stay a while, stay FOREVER!”
While this classic, and at the time ground-breaking, game was ported to nearly every computer and console format of the time, it surprisingly was never ported to IBM PCs (only the sequel was). This remastered version is one remade to work on current PCs, but replicating the original game as accurately as possible, with the addition of a secret hidden minigame.
Playing a secret agent (Agent 4125) on a mission to stop the evil Professor ‘Elvin Atombender’, who it is believed is tampering with the national security computers. You must infiltrate Atombender's lair, avoid his deadly robots (or use one of your limited ‘snooze codes’ on them!), and acquire the various pieces of a password for you to use in the main control room. You have 6 literal hours to complete the game; but 10 minutes of this time is lost each time you ‘die’ within the game, and a further 2 minutes are expended if you have use the help function on your mission ‘portable computer’. With 32 rooms and 90 robots it’s no wonder this mission has been classified as ‘Impossible’ – Good luck agent 4125!

Terrible port! Some game breaking bugs. Too many to list, don't touch this. C64 and Amiga versions are far, far better. Shameful cash in.
This is very similar to what I remember from years ago, except for a few bugs. Brings back memories of when I played this game as a kid! Hopefully the developers will fix these bugs: 1) If you jump near the exit of a room (in the direction of the exit), you normally would leave the room as if you just ran out, but in this version, there is an imaginary wall that prevents you from simply exiting when up in the air (jumping), so your forward motion stops and you complete your jump animation, then land in front of the exit. This is a major problem if the board happens to have a hole in front of the entrance/exit, because you will fall through the hole even though you actually jumped over it. 2) If jumping over a robot, the ceiling would normally prevent you from touching (and being electrocuted by) the robot on the floor above. But somehow in this version you can be electrocuted by a robot on the floor above you, even though there is a ceiling/floor separating you from the robot. 3). The big black ball occasionally passes through the floor / ceiling even though there is no hole present. 4) The lifts are VERY sensitive and usually move multiple floors at a time. I seem to rem…
I guess I should have checked the comments before hitting the Pay button. Such a bugfest... I should have stayed with the C64 emulator version. Mixed up sounds, collision bugs (I mean the big black orb can sometimes follow you through the platforms, you can't jump out the door which is funny if there is a hole there), elevation platforms sometimes go up/down multiple platforms, etc. A really sloppy job. I think I want my Euro back. Wasn't worth it.
It's slow, buggy, the audio drops in and out for me. Needs to be tweaked before I will give it a thumbs up.
