"Insipid" is the second asset flip from "Simple Logic Games" and it doesn't seem they're going to stop anytime soon as the third one is already approved on Steam but not available yet (although you can already buy keys on bundle sites). This time they took a free and extremely basic Unity template, Color Picker Game by Daniel Buckley and published it on Steam without much modification. The title screen is different, that's about it. As I said, the template is very basic. You get displayed a series of colored squares with a single one being a slightly different shade. If you pick that one you'll get 10 points and the next puzzle appears, if not it's game over. There's also a time attack mode where you'll also have to select a tile quickly otherwise it's also game over. While Mr. Buckley did release the template for free it's of questionable ethics to attempt to sell it without any kind of meaningful modification on Steam. If you absolutely have to play this game I'm certain there are countless variants on the internet - or you could just download Unity and the template and…
Warning: Asset Flip!
Insipid is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Simple Logic Games, took the Color Picket Game Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Daniel Buckley, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. Simple Logic Games has a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. One example of Simple Logic Games doing this is Math Game, which is really the "Math Game - Brain Workout" asset, written by the actual developers, App Advisory. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Color Picket Game" is just a basic demo/tutorial for makin…

I rolled the dice and bought a pack of random steam codes for $5. Was I expecting much? No, fam. No I wasn't. Was I expecting SOMETHING that would be even remotely playable, even if it was just for a good laugh? Yeah. Silly girl. I'm not one to trash a game or a developer, but after reading the reviews below, I'm ready to pile on. This is hot garbage. It's not fun. It's not enjoyable. It's barely playable. You better let the preview video play in the background because - fun fact - there is no music. You want options? To bad. No options for you. Despite having a menu option labeled "options", you don't actually receive any. Click dark box. Click less dark box. Click imperceptibly darker box. End game. Repeat once or twice if you are trying to be kind. Max game play time 2 minutes. Unless you walk away with the game running in the menu and rack up 17 minutes of gameplay (2 mins of actual gaming + 15 minute smoke break to complain about game = 17 mins).

Someone who i now question to be my friend or not gifted this to me. Be it some cruel joke or not this game has opened my eyes to the world of garbage games such as this one. Inspid can be described as follows: click the square that is a different color than the others, but you're out of luck if you have the mere audacity to be color blind. The game only has one mechanic, click. Click. Click. If you click the wrong square you go back to the main menu and thats it. It's not fun, It shouldnt even be called a game. I was gifted this game as some form of cruel and unusual punishment
