the game is fun, but i believe it is actually unfinishable. i get stuck in a spot about halfway through that is too tight for my box to pass. i have not found any walkthrough of this game that shows this part or anything after.1 found this helpful

Jim is Moving Out! is a clever and surprisingly thoughtful indie game that takes a mundane idea—moving house—and transforms it into a physics-driven puzzle adventure full of personality and challenge. Developed by Handsome Box in collaboration with CINEMAX GAMES and published by CINEMAX GAMES, the game stands out not through spectacle or complexity, but through a tight mechanical focus and a strong understanding of how simple systems can create deep, emergent gameplay. The premise is both humorous and oddly relatable. You play as Jim, an agoraphobic man who decides to leave the city by physically carrying his entire home and belongings across a series of increasingly hostile environments. Every piece of furniture you pick up stacks on your body, affecting balance, movement speed, and momentum. This creates a constant tension between greed and caution: carrying more items at once saves time but makes movement harder to control, while taking fewer items means safer navigation at the cost of efficiency. The story itself remains light and mostly implicit, but the act of dragging your life across deserts, icy terrain, and urban obstacles gives the journey a subtle emotional undertone. …

This game is so much fun! I <3 the concept of moving an entire apartment (literally), especially since I have moved more times that I ever care to remember, lol. The puzzles are simple, but the game is engaging IMO.
