"Keeper 2119" is a student project from Toulouse Lautrec. This year the students passed, they made a reasonable first person adventure game with a bit of platforming and puzzle solving, all welcome stuff (just look how successful Portal was). If this was a paid product I probably wouldn't suggest gamers buy it, it is small, limited in scope and of course compares poorly to professionally developed games. However, being completely free gives a game a lot of leeway. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. [h1]Overview:[/h1] '[i]Keeper 2119[/i]' is a first person puzzle platforming game where you assume the role of an individual that somehow became controlled by a mysterious force and must overcome a series of platform-based puzzles using a tool called the "Translocator Device" in order to escape the strange reality they've been imprisoned in. The plot itself appears very vague because honestly, it is. It doesn't seem as though it was thought out very well and feels like it was just shoehorned in for the sole purpose of having a story. Maybe the story gets more fleshed out during gameplay since there's voice acting but I could not decipher [i]anything[/i] the strange voice in the game was saying due to how strong the echoing was. I get that the developers were trying to make the voice sound like a mysterious spirit or being but it really comes off as incomprehensible jargon that just makes players scratch their head wondering what the narrator said. There [i]are[/i] subtitles but all it does is show "Strange Voice" every time it speaks. What's the point of having subtitles if you're not quoting dialogue in the game word for word? Сюжет, хотя и не является главным элементом, приятно вплетён в игровой процесс, раскрывая детали мира через диалоги и события. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую однообразность локаций, но это компенсируется сложностью прохождения и необходимостью постоянно экспериментировать с тактиками.
