About Portal
Use a portal gun to solve mind-bending physics puzzles by creating two-way portals that let you teleport objects and yourself through impossible spaces. This innovative first-person puzzler fundamentally changes how you think about moving through 3D environments, delivering hours of brain-teasing challenges in the eerie Aperture Science Laboratories.
The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life® 2's Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.
Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate this game's unique puzzle design and emotional storytelling, with particular praise for its memorable antagonist and stunning presentation that resonates long after completion. The main criticism is that some puzzles are obtuse enough to require external guides, and the difficulty can spike significantly if attempting bonus content.
6/10 game. Its a very unique game that really makes you think with its puzzles. Good price too
Fun and short story (unless you do the bonus content, it will get hard.)
my fav game
Beautiful game. probably one of my favorite video games of all time. (I literally just beat the game for the first time without any prior knowledge and I am not a fan so this is biased) The ending is really sticking with me, GLaDOS is such a perfectly crafted antagonist. The only downside, is that you will probably most likely need to look up a guide at some point.
Good game and lemons
lovely

Valve writer Erik Wolpaw discusses how he and colleagues are experimenting with generative AI tools for game development.
Valve's superfans are back to break the player concurrent record for Portal, but the challenge may be steeper than anyone has realised
I assumed that everyone with access to a PC would have played Portal at this point, but it seems this is far from the case, at least if Portal's all-time concurrent players are anything to go by. According to Steam Charts , the record for Steam player concurrents stands at just 3,370 players, which i...
Portal sicko beats the game with 'switched' wall textures so no surface is where it's meant to be, creating a whole new puzzling challenge in the process
Portal is not only one of the most mechanically inventive puzzle games ever made, but it's also one of the most elegantly crafted. Each of its Euclid-defying conundrums was built with surgical precision by Valve's mega-brain designers, created to slowly and specifically introduce you to the power of...
