Knights of the Round Peg

Might not excite with the gameplay, but there’s a casual mode if you just want to see the knight’s quest and poems. The goal is to clear the board of all red pegs in a limited number of attempts. This is accomplished using very simple gaming mechanic that does not demand much action from you. All you have to do is shoot balls into the board by changing the angle of the gun. After then, you watch as the ball bounces around until it lands into a wheel with a score on it. If you are lucky, the ball will fall toward two flippers, which will send it back up for another run through the pegs or into a wheel slot containing extra balls. However, because this is meant to be a casual experience, you can choose the "relaxed" mode, which gives you an unlimited number of balls. To keep things interesting, several different sorts of pegs and assets can appear on a board. Exploding clears all pegs surrounding it, stronger needs two hits, bouncers toss a ball around, and objects block or activate something. There are 80 stages that are played in a linear order. Simple Peggle-like with a fun theme and some unique mechanics. GG!

It's Peggle, only you always have the flipper power ups...and it's pretty boring due to the extreme easiness of the game. I did over 60 levels and only had to take a second try at 2 or 3 of them. The art style is the only redeeming feature of this game and it's not enough to make it worth the price. You can get Peggle Deluxe and Peggle Nights in a bundle for less than this game, and you will have far more fun. KoTRP is too long, too easy, and too boring...and the "poetry" is awful and close to meaningless. Hard pass.

Honestly just boring Peggle, fine for wasting time, but not worth the price

Under 3 hours to finish in RELAXED mode here, enjoyed, has same ball launcher for all 80 levels. ONLY requires removal of all the RED pegs to proceed and no extra fanfare or points for completely clearing a level, the one time I did it to check. Plenty of balls, I had no fails 1-80 but I 100% finished Peggle, so maybe YMMV, was easy but fun addition to the genre IMO. Has a little Monty P vibe also.

A decent Peggle clone. Pros: Fun theme, Good Sound Design, unique "bucket" setup. Cons: It is far to easy, and you always have the Flipper ability with no variety. When you can just get Peggle and Peggle Nights on steam this is hard to recommend. However if you've already played both of those and just want the same Nachos from a different slightly worse restaurant this is an easy buy. definitely buy on sale though there's like 2-3 hours gameplay max here. and $12 is a bit steep.
