“Know by heart...” is a game about accepting loss. The plot, the music, the intuitive gameplay and atmospheric mini-games work together to weave an illusion of briefly returning to one’s childhood and inevitably growing up, the feeling of time slipping through our fingers.
Players will be immersed into the quiet life of a provincial Russian town, where traces and echoes of the Soviet era can still be seen and heard.
Misha, the protagonist, is stuck in his monotonous, dead-end job, until one day the routine is shattered as his school crush returns to town. For the first time in years Misha regains hope of escaping the ennui of his daily life. A brief but tumultuous episode of the town’s life is interwoven with the story of a gang of childhood friends coming back together. It’s up to them to journey down memory lanes and rekindle their friendship, but their memories of the past and the very bonds between them become threatened...

A heartfelt game about childhood memories, growing up, and the strange feeling of returning to places that no longer feel the same. The atmosphere is very melancholic and intimate, and as the story progresses, the themes of memory and loss become increasingly painful and literal. Overall, it’s a good experience, though sometimes a bit too slow and uneventful. Mostly focused on emotional storytelling, exploration, and simple puzzles.2 found this helpful

Great point and click adventure game with cool story!
Ну оч приятная игра, есть минусы душные типо по городу бегать, пазлы склеивать. Герой невозможным казался, а потом стало понятно, что это метафора, ну просто в лоб, переборщили с его инфантильностью. Кароче, вайбец ебейший, глубина имеется, волшебная история про воспоминания из детства, много чего вспомнил про своих ребят, обязательно позвоню бабушке. Ах, как хочется ворваться в городок.
Know by heart is potentially one of the most touching indie games I have ever experienced. Its story is equal parts tragic as it is wholesome, at times bringing me to tears. Know by heart is a game that you need to have in your collection. For some players this game will have the appeal of replayability. I am one of them, and expect myself to dive into each lovingly crafted aspect of such an incredible story. It is a beautiful and carefully thought out piece of art that is a must for gamers of any kind.
this is one of the greatest stories ever told through gaming and could only be told through gaming. nothing new for Ice pick lodge but this game was still a complete surprise, if you like point and clicks its a must buy, if you enjy good storytelling its a must buy, and if youre prepared to cry its a must buy. buy this game and support games as art.
