Once Again

A brief emotional experience which surprisingly turns out to have more impact than one would expect. It is a simple game in terms of the storyline and the feel of the game, but the artwork and sound blend in fantastically to create the right effect. The ending of the game was more emotionally moving than anticipated and left behind a lasting impression. Spoilers: [spoiler]The end of the game captures the feelings of both characters in a perfect way. In an understated fashion, everything is brought together and made meaningful. The thing that affected me the most about it was the voice-over from the mother at the very end of the art exhibition. It just added so much emotional weight. [/spoiler]

I played this during the summer and it made me feel quite melancholic about not being able to have a great relationship with my mum but made me feel hopeful that maybe one day I can have a good relationship with my future kid and spend the summer taking photographs down by the beach. Very poignant and thought-provoking! I would have liked more puzzles rather than a lot of "point and clicks" but the music compensated for that - amazing orchestration. The final bit with the mother's voice almost bought me to tears and truly immersed me more into the game so props to the developers for doing this. I also loved the artwork, lovely brush strokes in the background and simple foreground character designs. I would play something like this again, with more puzzles and interaction with the game. Could Make a Grown Man Cry 10/10.

不是哥们，这919个评论的好评都是串子吗？世界观是啥？铺垫了这么多我还以为得好好说点啥的，结果就来个尴尬无语的语音然后就结束了？是我看不懂还是这个游戏太深奥了？除非你有一模一样和故事的经历，不然我get不到任何人所说的“共鸣”。。。。。。

A quick game about the past.

I read through the other reviews before buying and completely forgotten about them when playing. When I started out, I was clueless as to how to proceed since the game's "tutorial" was quite intuitive and I may have dismissed them too quickly. But once I got the hang of it, it was quite simple. The game made me feel like I was going through what the MC was. Love the nuances in the game. Definitely a tear-jerker. Really heartwarming and tugs at the heart strings. Would defo recommend this.
