Kokoro Clover SUN - Prehistoric Invaders!

A dense short story that pays homage to Japanese TV anime, with very cute pixel-art characters and boss combat action elements. A sequel to the series... but even if you haven't played the previous installments, you can still see the outline, so that shouldn't be a particular problem. The amount and quality of the pixelart and animations are stunning, and considering the price, the performance is quite enjoyable. It's an authentic representation of the kind of OVA movie you'd get out of Kokoro Clover as an anime in the nineties or noughts. The plot is very much perfunctory - it's a contrived excuse to place the cast in a fun setting, but delivered with authenticity and without irony - and the production values are noticeably higher than the main series; the animations and especially the animated battles are incredibly well done. This and Kokoro Clover season 1 are both incredibly high-effort works that deserve more attention for what they're doing. They're well-scripted in their own right while replicating the style of a kids' anime series you'd watch twenty or thirty years back.

So this would be a 1.5 mini chapter? I would say is a great way to describe it and it's short as heck that's for sure but it's fun and has some shockingly great and awesome to look at cutscenes at that! But if you're looking for a full game you're not gonna find it here, if you want a four boss per episode (four episodes) with a fun story and cast then I say give the dev a little nod for the first game (which I suggest getting, it's cute, fun and very much Saturday morning cartoon style, even if they made it too easy lol) but if you're looking for stages like in the prior game and a fair amount of content then kicking my bias out unless you get this on a super good deal I wouldn't suggest it, especially seeing as for some reason they skipped the ultimate attack, that said it has multiple characters to play with which makes up for it dood. The animation this time was CRAZY Hikotel the person that you are Simply put, if you don't care a whole bunch about gameplay and want to enjoy a game that lets you watch a saturday morning anime in video game form then this game is perfect for you. Just as perfect as it is for me! It's peak fiction

Megaman-Pretty Cure-Getter Robo Simulator adds Tokusatsu into the mix. The budget proceeds to explode. Gameplay got nerfed but the story is still incredibly hype.
