Somehow this simple game, like Rome Total War without RTS battles, is addicting. RTS battles has been replaces with a view of a battle resolution. You chose formations and placements for your troops, and watch the battle unfold. This make the game pretty fast paces since resource management in the form of city building is simplified - yet more interesting actually than in Rome 1. You need lumber, stone, and food to make troops or build buildings. So there is a bit of resource management.

I played this game as a kid. Cool graphics and sfx. Enjoyable gameplay loop.
I used to play this game many years ago and it was fantastic; don't be fooled by the graphics, it's still a masterpiece. The only problem is that recently I tried to play once again, but everytime I try to move my units the loading icon keeps going forever......
