About Light of Alariya

Light of Alariya is an open-world, third-person, exploration puzzle game made by students at SMU Guildhall. In Light of Alariya, you traverse the ancient alien temples and ruins to restore the power of the stars and awaken your sleeping civilization.

Alariya was once a quiet and peaceful desert town. Soothsayers foresaw a terrible storm that would last for centuries, so all the townspeople decided to fall asleep until it passed. However, as the world decayed over time, the ancient temples that focused the power of the stars began to crumble leaving the world’s goddess, Ari, with only enough power to wake up one young hero, Rumi.

With Ari’s help, Rumi must realign the Constellation Crystals in each of Alariya’s three Star Temples to give Ari enough power to wake everyone up. In her exploration, Rumi discovers a series of notes, memories, and murals that help her uncover the mysteries of Alariya.

Features:

  • Single-player, open-world exploration game
  • Playtime (main story): 1-2 hours
  • Playtime (full exploration): 3-4 hours
  • Made in Unreal Engine 5
  • Original music score

Was a wonderful quick game great for a mellow relaxation away from the stress of the world. The scenery is beautiful and the game dynamics work great for what this game is. Would highly recommend for a peaceful afternoon.

Not a bad game at all. Beautiful graphics and gameplay is good. The story is interesting. Just not quite what I'm looking for at the moment. This is one I will definitely come back to.

A short and simple free game. The puzzles are entry level (tutorial), not that exciting but free, and nice.

Nice simple game for youngsters with simple puzzles, adults will get bored quickly though as it's very samey.

The movement is really stiff, the grapplehook is clunky and the sand boat glitches out at every opportunity. Unless you're a big fan of light beams and easy collectibles, there's little else to offer.

Neat little student made game. Worth you time. Had to run through it a second time to get a couple achievements that didn't trigger first go.
