I’m not really a fan of this genre, but Locum Tenens unexpectedly hooked me. I jump into it now and then for 10–15 minutes, just to play at my own pace and stretch out the enjoyment. There’s a warm sense of nostalgia to it, like firing up something familiar from childhood, only cleaner and more modern. I like the atmosphere, the pacing, and the fact that it doesn’t put pressure on you like old-school shooters did - it actually feels relaxing. I think a lot of that comes down to the controls and sounds - they just feel really good. I’m genuinely glad I stumbled across this game.

You wake up on a very creepy spaceship. Seriously, the atmosphere and soundtrack are really good. And somehow you end up moving down the empty hallway, and then you see it, a damn furry looking at you with those goofy eyes, and it sends a chill down your spine. Luckily, you're armed and drunk, and you decide to shoot the furry bastard into 10,000 pieces. and that's what the game is about, I guess, shooting your way through a furry convention in space, good luck.

The similarities to DOOM or Wolfenstein are worn on its sleeve but I found Locum Tenens still had something new to offer. As I progressed through the early levels I found a flow state and fell into a steady pace of dispatching enemies with precise, accurate shots and found myself predicting what the game would throw at me. I got gud. It was satisfying. Then I hit chapter two and the game absolutely rekd me and slowed progress to a halt. I persevered and pushed through. Then it did it again with a vengeance. I had to admit defeat. I’ll be back.

If you love boomer-shooters, oldschool, sci-fi, and intrigue, then this game is definitely for you. Boomer-shooters aren't my genre of interest at all, but I got really hooked on the game. Even though I'm a very casual player, and the game doesn't forgive mistakes or delays in reactions, I really enjoyed it. +I'd like to learn more about the world inside the game and the story that takes place in it. So I hope there will be a lore drop in the nearest future Anyway, a hidden gem

alright boomer shooter basically doom at home The enemy density is absurd its 60 FPS capped so cant change it you need to kill EVERY SINGLE ENEMY to go to the next level the settings are kinda goofy the music is meh the map UI and hotbar is good the gameplay is good overall 6/10 its recommended if you dont have anything better to play but if you do then its not recommended for me
