In this Dharker Studio game you play as Josh who some how gets Luna to start dating you. You can either make or break this relationship. First play through took little over an hour.3 found this helpful
Theres a lot of bugs in this, one storyline has missing background image in the epilogue, the text doesnt always fit in the text box and the dialogue references events that havent happened on your current playthrough, like Luna started talking about a cafe when I hadn't been there yet on any playthrough. Also half the assets are reused from one of their previous games and the silhoutte of Josh fades in so you can partially see him, and then is fully black most of the time which is really annoying.2 found this helpful
Love in the Limelight is a visual novel that leans fully into romantic escapism, presenting a scenario that is deliberately idealized and built around player-driven relationships. Developed and published by Dharker Studios, it opens with a premise that immediately signals its tone: an ordinary protagonist unexpectedly finds himself entangled with a rising celebrity, and from that moment onward, his life shifts into a series of encounters shaped by attraction, choice, and personal decisions. It’s not trying to ground itself in realism or subtlety—instead, it embraces a kind of wish-fulfillment fantasy that becomes the foundation for everything that follows. The narrative unfolds through a branching structure where player decisions influence which characters you grow closer to and how the story ultimately resolves. There are multiple romantic routes, each tied to a different character, and the game encourages exploration by offering a wide range of endings. Some conclusions feel satisfying and complete, while others are more abrupt or ambiguous, giving the experience a sense of variability that extends beyond a single playthrough. This structure is one of the game’s stronger aspects…1 found this helpful
Love in the Limelight ON THE FENCE / Not Recommended Length: Short (5-10 hours) Number of Routes: 1 Choices: Yes Failure Possible: Yes Character Rating: Decent Story Progression: Good Scene Flow: Decent Music Rating: Decent Achievement Difficulty: 1 Additional Thoughts: A decent visual novel with a decently fine story. While it does branch into different paths, it does tend to mostly fall back to one major event before giving you a ending. Otherwise It does have a couple of problems with the story itself. Certain things feel like they are out of order during some of the course of events during certain paths, like plans the characters make not happen until much later even though they were making plans for that same day. Certain events are referenced during paths where that event did not happen. It also does not explain certain things as to why certain things did not happen in a certain path when there was no reason it could not have happened. Certain endings make no sense how they happened, even with one where theres a fully fenced off roof and that fence is referenced in another CG. Theres also some lines where it references the original storyline for this VN.
No. The art is solid. The story is...ok. Puerile (childish), but ok. But it is way too short. Each playthrough is only about 30 minutes and the endings can happen randomly. Or they *seem* random from the player's perspective. Now, random endings are not *necessarily* a bad thing, but they can also be incredibly unsatisfying if the you, the player, don't feel you have any agency in how the ending came about. So, short, meh writing, few 'rewards', etc. I was disappointed.
